Maybe the thing that there was no A/C.... but the weather was not that hot whilst our stay.

The house, the ambience, the weather, the horses and Loui the dog.. It was like a dream. I woul like to visit again when its snowing. It would be like a post card.

We stayed two nights at Ranch Jelov Klanac and absolutely loved it. The property is immersed in nature, surrounded by green hills and silence—ideal for anyone looking to relax and disconnect. It’s only a 15-minute drive from entrance D1 of Plitvice National Park, making it a perfect base for visiting the lakes. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, always available for any help or suggestion. And the dog Lu is the most adorable dog you’ll ever meet—gentle, friendly, and full of character. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and nature-filled stay near Plitvice, this is the place to be!

Very minor points I hadn't realised there are 2 properties, sectioned into 3 lodges, 2 downstairs, one upstairs) the one most advertised on here is up the hill & has the best views, we were lower down the hill. If I was to return I'd ask to stay higher up the hill which is lighter and higher up for the views. Could be a little noisy at times with guests upstairs walking on wooden floors, got woken very early by this. That said they were respectful and were out most of the time as were we. We were in No 1, the description said microwave but there wasn't one-we adapted accordingly but I'd check if you are planning to need one.

The location is wonderful if you want peace and quiet. It's very remote with very little light pollution. It's extremely quiet at night with only the sounds of wildlife. It's really hard not to relax here. Communication with Blanka was excellent and check in went smoothly. She's also very helpful in explaining where to eat, supermarkets etc. The ranch is also easy to find using Google Maps. Blanka had lit the wood fire as it was a cold day and as we'd checked in early and were going to the Lakes for the day she came back to put another log on the fire to keep it going for us which was a wonderful touch. We met the adorable dog Lou who really is very sweet and always comes to greet you. The ranch is well equipped and spacious, lots of room and very warm with the fire going. There's a large seating area and dining area with table and chairs. We had a large porch where we could also sit and eat as there was a table and benches. It was also a nice spot to sit and watch the rain as it's well covered. Our property was downstairs so you wouldn't get this if upstairs. The bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows and a nice thick duvet. Plitvice National Park & Lakes is a 15 minute drive to Entrance 1, slightly further for entrance 2. We bought a 2 day ticket but provided you're not there in busy summer months in hindsight we could have done the park in one day. We hadn't expected to pay 2 euro's an hour for parking in addition to the entrance fee. Despite the weather it was still very busy and we ended up parking a fair distance away and they are quite strict on your entrance time (so just things to be aware of). Entrance 2 was far quieter the following day but it was raining. We would return to the Ranch-we enjoyed our mountain stay there.

Everything was excellent! When we arrived, lovely host Blanka greeted us and showed us the place where we would stay. It was quite cold outside and they made sure to warm up the house and start a fireplace. The ranch is gorgeous and it has everything you need for a short or a longer stay. The owners were very forthcoming and really thought and took care of everything. Surrounding nature is beautiful and we enjoyed so much having fun in the yard and making a barbecue one of the days of our stay. It is quiet and an amazing place to get some well deserved rest.

The great place in the nature, with beautiful views, birds singing, horses in the grassland. Very big space in the beautiful wooden house, comfortable, very clean, well organized and decorated. The host very kind. We loved this place near to Plitvice and to Rastoke and recommend for holidays.

Photos, however beautiful they are, really don't do this apartment justice. It's like stepping into a spacious cabin with breathtaking views, a cozy wood stove, and really comfortable bed. It's a 15–20 minute drive from Plitvička Jezera, so perfect if you're visiting the park, and Lou, the dog mentioned in several reviews, is a sweetheart and will run alongside your car when you go up the driveway and greet you. The tap water isn't for drinking, but Blanka, the host, provides a large bottle of water upon check-in (there's a Studenac market close to the road the apartment is on where you can stock up on more bottles as needed).

Location is +/- 15 min from Plitvice Lakes by car. The view from the balcony is amazing and the silence during the evening and night is great to come to rest and to enjoy the sounds of nature. The host is very helpful and flexible regarding early check-out.

Everything about this property was fantastic! Close to the national forest but off the main road. Quiet, cozy accommodations with amazing host. The dog Lou and the horses on site were a special bonus for our daughter.

We stayed in the spacious and immaculate top floor of a large recently built timber house. Comfy bed, great wifi, lots of outside space for parking and sitting. Large kitchen lounge area with cooking facilities and large wood burner with wood, though we didnt need this in October. 10 mins drive to good local eateries. Countryside setting. Try nearest Pizzeria 5 min drive or 16 lakes hotel for food.
