We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFirstly, when I booked the hotel I asked them if I could leave some luggage with them before my stay (I had 9 days in Split, 5 days on Korcula, before coming back to Prima Luca) to save me taking in needed stuff to Korcula. “Yes, it’s not normally something that we would do, but we ca do this for you”. Brilliant, thank you!! Luckily I went I find the hotel whilst in Split the first time and double checked my request to save any hassle on the day of my ferry. “I don’t know why you were told that, we just leave the cases in the corridors and reception isn’t manned ant night” - not a major problem as I the had time to source storage, but why say yes in the first place? And what if I hadn’t checked? The ‘boutique’ hotel as it calls itself is on the 3rd floor of a shopping centre. As you go up in the tatty glass walled lift you pass the other abandoned floors that look like it was a set in an apocalypse movie. Reception isn’t much better. Stairs are taped off, escalator not in use. It looks like there was once a cafe or bar on the top floor which would give amazing views of the city. Also looks abandoned. As well as boutique I’m sure I saw the words ‘luxury rooms’ somewhere. Small windows at the top of the bedroom wall leaves little natural light and zero fresh air. Although the bed was comfy, there was only one small pillow each and no sign of extras. One of the rooms descriptions was ‘unique decoration includes a 3D rendition of the oldest Slavic alphabet. Not that this was a reason I booked it but it was some letters painted onto a wall with a line Dow the side to look like the 3D graffiti you did o your school books. This at least gave me a chuckle I’m far from a room snob, it wasn’t a horrible experience by any stretch but it wasn’t worth paying £180 for a night. Luckily it was only a one night stop off
Spacious room, spacious, good working shower. Clean

NorwayCleanliness of the room!
While the location is excellent, the hotel's standards fall short of what one would expect from a four-star establishment. Despite arranging and confirming an early check-in, the process was frustratingly slow. We had to wait a significant amount of time, which was disappointing. The beds were extremely hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Upon entering our room, we found stains on the bathroom floor, indicating it had not been cleaned properly. We had to request a second cleaning, but even then, the bathroom still required a deep clean.

United KingdomLack of facilities. It was just a room and bathroom. No restaurant or gym or cafe or anything. I didn’t like the cheap interior trying to look luxury. I didn’t like going through a shopping centre to get access. Especially at night.

United KingdomArrive late at night as a solo female traveler, trying to find the hotel was quite difficult and I had to ask bouncers at a club next door who pointed at an abandoned, graffiti filled shopping mall. The hotel is located in an abandoned shopping mall and is not 'luxury boutique' as stated online. I had paid for the hotel upfront online and on arrival was told by the gentleman at reception that I had to pay for it, I explained and showed my bank statement that I had paid, he eventually had to call he's boss. I was shown to my room, which at first glance is lovely and spacious, and looks glamorous with a large Jacuzzi bath. After putting my bags down and settling in, I went to lock my front door for the night and noticed there was no key in the door or a latch lock, I eventually went back out to the front desk to ask and was laughed at by the gentleman who told me I didn't need to lock it. I explained to him that as a solo female I would like to be able to lock my door. This became a discussion with him telling me only I can get into my room with my key card, I explained that it would be very easy for somebody to get into my room and I have never known somewhere you were unable to lock the door from the inside and it should not be a problem that I wish to do so. He had to call hes manager again and eventually gave me the keys to my room, not sure why this was a problem to begin with? At this point I just wanted to have a glass of wine in the Jacuzzi bath, I checked the minibar menu and opened the minibar and for some reason the minibar was completely empty, I went back outside to front reception as I assumed this was a mistake, so asked and was told ''No''. Again, I have never known a luxury hotel that has empty minibars in the room? The Jacuzzi bath did not work either.
Room was a good size Room was modern There was not much else apart from the above unfortunately.

GermanyIn the room there was a carpeted floor. Every time I entered my room, I could smell some unpleasant odor, which was much stronger in the bathroom. I cannot judge if it was coming from the carpet or the use of some chemical in the bathroom. The narrow windows of the room were very high and did not let opening them.
This is a nice hotel in a nice location, very close to the city center. The room was large (35 m²), although 2 big massage chairs, looking rather old and not clear if still operational (probably yes, I did not try), occupied a lot of space.

United KingdomSlight smell in the toilets but once you flushed, the smell went away. Possibly just dormant water. Gaining entry/exit is very odd, being in an abandoned shopping mall but once you find the entrance it's fine. The lift broke at one point and had to find another way out.
Rooms were all clean and as advertised, the staff were friendly and were helpful if you wanted any suggestions for what to do on a day. The location is incredible, no need for a taxi to get anywhere, you are right in the centre of Split. Air conditioning was nice for breaks during the day and the rooms are massive. We stayed as a large group of friends and the staff were very accommodating, would definitely recommend.

SwedenThe hotel is located on the third floor in an almost abandoned shopping mall, which gives the whole place a depressing and creepy vibe. The room had a strong chemical smell during the entire stay. Small windows you can’t open and ventilate the room and placed so high that you can only see the sky. Dirty glasses and spoons, changed after i pointed it out. The hallway outside my room was used as storage for old advertising signs. Hot water took a very long time, flushed for 5-10 min and still only lukewarm. The building probably has no hot water circulation system, risk of Legionnaires' disease! (dangerous pneumonia) I have traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels, 113 via Boking.com over the years, but after this I no longer trust the Booking ratings and star system any more. 107 of 281 ratings 9 – 10 can’t be true! 78 of 281 ratings 7 – 9! Are the reviews for the same place as I stayed in? This is not a 4-star hotel with a rating 7.0
The location is very good, close to everything: Diocletian's Palace, restaurants, bars, waterfront promenade (Riva), shopping, buses and taxis. But that is the only positive! The room itself was acceptable but the "Hotel" as a whole was disappointing and depressing. Diamond studs on the headboard and thick carpeting doesn't make it 'Luxury' or 'Boutique'

CanadaBooking charged my credit card, but the hotel charged too my credit card. So I’m waiting a refund from booking. The hotel was payed.
The room is very beautiful and large. The placement of the hotel is bizarre. It is downtown - DOWNTOWN… so no parking, and security system code for the door. If you come for the first time it will be impossible without assistance. BUT… the room is perfect and the place where the hotel is situated is PERFECT… so, NO free parking arround but payed ones are available. It was a very good night in the hotel, the little problem was to get in first, but we figure it out. The mats are exceptional !!!
