Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWe loved everything about the place.
Parking was onsite, right in front of hotel. Beautiful grounds, from the pool and outdoor seating terrace, you can see the Adriatic Sea.. Everything was within walking distance, at Bonaco Restaurant, we had the best grilled sea bass!! 5 minute walk to local bus stop for a visit to downtown Pula (shopping, restaurants, amphitheatre etc.) Room had nice shower and with hand held shower head, Very comfortable beds and nice crisp white linen sheets and comforter, hair dryer, towel dryer, shampoos, etc The included breakfast was exceptional, so much variety of cold meats, and cheeses, olives, omelettes, hard boil eggs, scrambled eggs, eggs over easy, bacon, sausages, vegetables, zuchini, mushrooms, yogurts, cereals, jams, buns, bread, desserts, variety of fresh fruits, gluten free products , juices, coffee, etc

ItalyThe room was between the swimming pool and the woods, so it was full of mosquitoes outside and it was impossible to keep the window open because there were no mosquito nets.
The buffet was amazing, and the location excellent. A very short walk away from all the best spots (it's better if you prefer rocks to sand), and super quiet. Fantastic.

Croatia* Hotel pool, unfortunately, (like the rest of the Croatian coast) suffers from “towel reservations”, that is, there are selfish people who put down towels first thing in the morning and then claim ownership of the chair for the whole day, even though they are not there for the majority of it. We were arriving at the pool mainly after our baby's afternoon nap, when the regular scene was 5-6 people in the pool and 15 "towel-reserved" chairs. I spoke to two members of the staff about it, and unfortunately, I got the impression that they are not willing to do anything concrete about it, which was rather disappointing considering “towel reservations” are explicitly forbidden by the hotel’s house rules for more than 30 minutes. But they were encouraging me to feel free to play "pool police" if I want, which I found bizarre. * The hotel advertises itself as a “100% non-smoking hotel”. Which is odd considering there were ashtrays on the balcony and we felt cigarette smoke from our neighborhood balcony intensely (so much we had to close our own balcony doors a few times because of the stink). That does not sound like "100% non-smoking hotel" to me.
* If I had to guess, I would say that I’m certain that it’s a hotel with four stars. Everything feels on that level. Cleanliness, interior, staff, and food selection. * Location is great, near Pula, but Verudela is also kinda secluded, so you don’t feel like you’re near the pretty big town. * Everyone on the staff has been great and really helpful (except for the pool problems that I described below) * Full board (we had half-board) is not possible, but the restaurant works “a la carte” for lunch. The number of food choices for dinner was impressive * The hotel has private parking, which is great considering the neighborhood is very touristy and there are a lot of people looking for a spot during peak hours * We were staying with a five-month-old baby, and the hotel was very flexible regarding check-out, which is highly appreciated from our side.

NetherlandsWhile parking was generally sufficient, it could be a bit challenging to find a spot during the evening.
Our room had a balcony overlooking a peaceful park area with tall pine trees and it didn’t get direct sunlight, and that was nice. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent. On the day of our arrival, we opted for the buffet dinner at the hotel, which featured a generous selection of fish, meat, side dishes, fresh fruit, and cakes. Drinks were not included in the price. The pool was large enough (with sea water) and pool towels were available. Although the hotel is officially rated as a 3-star property, it offers all the amenities, services and breakfast typically found in a 4-star hotel. Overall, it was a great experience and we would gladly return.

RomaniaFor august, the parking was insufficient. However, we managed to find a parking spot on the sidewalk inside the hotel’s parking designated area.
The property is well maintained, the bedroom was large and up to date. The beach is right behind the hotel. The hotel has a large, clean pool. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of options.

United StatesDid not like the fact that there was no parking available at the hotel it was always full. I noticed that non-hotel guest were parking at the hotel, which I did not think was fair.
Breakfast was amazing. The room was a bit small, now we did go with the cheapest room. The beach was great but it does get busy and you need to pay extra for the chairs and umbrellas. Overall it was great but I do think it was expensive for the facilities they provided.

United KingdomNoisy air-conditioning which made a loud noise at intervals through the night. Breakfast was at capacity by 8 am and it was still early July.
It was only an overnight stop, so it was fine. Reception was welcoming at a late hour and check in was fast. We liked the little gift of local herbal liqueur miniature. The breakfast was a good selection.

SloveniaThe hotel gym is a bit under-equipped with one of the multi function machines not working.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing. There was all sorts of very tasteful food. The whole hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially the foreign waiters at breakfast and dinner were extremely hard working and nice. The rooms are a bit tight in space, but are well equipped and clean, with comfortable beds. The hotel is located in a lovely location with pine trees and well maintained surrounding.

IcelandThe fact that despite being given a notice NOT to reserve sunbeds selfish people did so everyday and we never saw any towels removed. When we awoke around 8am there were usually 25-30 towels out and nobody to be seen. I think its necessary to take action as soon as people arrive to stop this ridiculous entitled behaviour. Some people never showed at poolside before lunch time. The fact that there is nowhere to store luggage after 10 am checkout. We were told we could keep it outside unlocked. This would be a good service to offer when people have later-flights home.
Breakfast good. Quiet peaceful setting. Beds very comfortable. Staff helpful. Wonderful boat trip and enjoyed the painting evening.
