Rooms could have been cleaner.

A small hostel in a residential district of Split, very close to the bus station that will take you to the centre (just a few stops) and close to cheaper restaurants with a daily meal option. Staff are very helpful and communicative. I stayed in an 8-bed dorm; the beds and lockers are good, the rooms are quite small and could be cleaner. The toilets and showers are cleaner and spacious. You can use the washing machine, a small kitchen, drink a cup of coffee or tea and cool your beers in the fridge.

For me, the only drawback is that the hostel doesn't have a place to meet and talk, like a communal space, other than the reception and the building's entrance courtyard. This wasn't a major problem, as I was still able to meet people and chat.

I had a good experience with Hostel Oasis where I rested well. A simple hostel, calm, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The beds are comfortable, and the lower beds have curtains for privacy. The rooms have AC, which can become very comfortable in the intense summer heat. I felt safe and comfortable!

Good location approximately 20 minutes walk from the ferry harbour where the airport shuttle stops. Mirko booked me in and was very helpful showing me the best places, restaurants, beaches etc on a map. Dormitory was big enough with air conditioning and lockers. Bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Enough toilets and showers to go around. Free coffee.

Nothing much. Initially it was difficult to find the place, a more detailed guide with photos could help. The wash basin drained a bit slow, but it didn’t bother me and I forgot to tell them.

The room was clean and bed was comfy. I booked a delux double room, it was very spacious for one person to use, there was refrigerator as well. The host was friendly and gave good suggestions. Overall, I was very happy.

My bed wasn’t as comfortable, it had a lot of metal thingies inside, could feel them all the time. The location was quite far from the city center, but we knew that would be the case so its okay. And few people kept turning the AC on through the whole night, and with a little blanket it can get very cold in the night.

The host is amazing, told us everything we needed gave recommendations, so easy to contact him. i would stay again just for the vibes. The people in the room were also super nice and friendly and we didn’t have any problems. The curtains are such a nice touch, gives the privacy that is needed. And the locker has a key already, which is good. Overall good place and good value for the money

There are some mosquitos so take repellant with you (not the hostals fault, just general in Split).

I stayed once in a hostal before but I was the only one in the room so I consider this my first hostal experience, must say I was surprised at how comfortable I felt. Mirko was amazing, really friendly and was available at all the times if I had questions or needed something. Beds were comfortable, a couple of showers, no queues, nice little kitchen, coffee & tea available + some spices to use. Keys so you can go in and out whenever you want. Leave your bags and have a shower if needed even after check out. Thank you for a great stay, would come again if in Split!

Friendly and helpful staff. Small kitchen but with everything you need. The bed was very comfy. It is in a quiet place, 20 min from the city center and 10 min from the beach. The owner was really nice and gave essential information about the area and what to visit in the city. Supermarkets in surroundings.

Most of time I was there, on the sofa, waiting when arrogant, noisy England girls prepared to go out evenings, talking with the good German girl or morning didn't want to be in the dormitory room with all the dirtyness which the England girls makes there (cosmetics everywhere, not possible to even use a table and mirror for myself). There behaviour like they are owna of that hostel or management there. I don't like that. They moved always and leave light on, air-conditioning on and everywhere their stuff and cosmetics. Not possible to put even a glass or something on that table inside room. I'm happy that I don't meet this on hostels often. Arrogancy guests...it's always depend who you met. The German boy ask me if I knows I'm not alone in that room. I knows, but did he? He didn't knows he must ask of everyone permission to on air-conditioning for whole night, day and always? It's not like he want -- another ppl must accepted breeeze all time, because he want.

Receptionist/manager Mirko and receptionist Ivana was super friendly, helping and care about their guests. I like the small reception with sofa, small kitchen and takes there coffee and breakfast every early morning. I liked the powerfull Wi-Fi, which I use everyday to wrote my family on WhatsApp, call or some emails or little work. I liked the small shower and toilet near my dormitory room (which is for men - Mirko says), I always use only that shower - it's possible lock yourself. And I likes some of the hostel Guests -- the old funny Poland man, german good girl, the India lady (she talk to the England girls when come on Saturday or Sunday morning so early and makes noise like always). I always preferred that kind of ppl like a friends or companies. Ppl who was kind&adult enough.

The bathrooms needed more ventilation as they smelled like urine and mould sometimes however to look at they were clean, the kitchen also was very unkept and smelt funny although this is likely down to the guests at the time and might not be a representation of the property.

The lower bunks had curtains for privacy and the host was very accommodating in allowing early check in with quick communication!

My son ended up there on his own after his friend ended up in hospital. I notified the landlord before my son arrived and asked him to keep an eye on him. My son said the landlord was great and really looked after him, introducing him to others who were on there own as well. He let him stay longer on the last day while he waited to catch a bus to the airport. My son felt very safe and comfortable there. It put our minds at ease during a difficult time. We can’t thank him enough for helping out at such short notice.

The common sitting area and kitchen is tiny so there's not really anywhere to chill out apart from your bed. It also means when people do decide to hang out there, all the other rooms can hear. Also it's not the hostel's fault but the people in our room were in and out all night and it doesn't help that the door is really creaky/loud. They have lockers but they are all metal so when people need to get things out it's super loud, would probably benefit from putting in timber ones to help with the sound.

Bathrooms and rooms are cleaned daily. Good location, easy bus ride or walk into Old Town. Staff are really friendly and helpful!

Charging ports were in a bit of an uncomfortable place making them a bit of a pain to use and the Wi-Fi was a bit inconsistent (very minor issues).

Fantastic host, super awesome guy with great vibes and great recommendations, Facilities were pleasant to use, beds were nice and comfy and clean and equipped with AirCon and lockers. Not a long walk from the City Centre and located in a pleasant area with cafés and grocery stores a walk away. Overall fantastic vibes, lovely hospitality and great atmosphere. Great value for one of the cheapest locations in Split.

The place in my opinion was not clean at all. I stayed there for one week and the girls bathroom was getting dirtier and dirtier and no one cleaned it. Same with the floor in the room. Workers didn't have communication with eachother and when I came back in the hostel on my first day I had a surprise that one other girl was in my bed, luckily we could sort it out by ourselves because no one answered the phone. For the people who have cars, there is no special parking in the hostel, it is public street parking and often all the spots were full and needed to find parking somewhere a bit far on another street. There is no common area for chilling, only small reception area with one couch.

The location is great, beaches are c.a 10 minutes walk away, all the necessary supermarkets are right there, city centre is c.a 25 minutes walk. Room had AC, I liked the curtains on the bottom beds, the lockers were very roomy and window had shutters so you could make the room really dark for the sleeping time. For the price I paid for one week it was good.
