Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaIt's an old building and you can easily hear when someone is on the stairs, especially in the evening. The room is with double bed and there was only one double blanket.
The property is located in the center and it is near the historic district of Split. However, it is well isolated from the street noise. Check-in and check-out is very quick and easy. The host Marin is very kind and cooperative. He even gave me his charger, because I have forgotten mine and all stores were closed. I appreciate his help a lot.

ItalyThe placement of the entrance is a bit dark, it is placed at the start of an alleyway in one of the main streets. It could be worse (it is not deep into the alleyway) but for a future visitors it might be scary as anyone could be in the darkness. I would advise the property to maybe add a small light near or on top of the entrance. (For our stay we used our phone flashlights and went home at a safe time as we are both women) .
The location is exceptional, every known spot and restaurant is 5 min away. There are even supermarkets and taxi pickup points very near. It is in the heart of old town and the room was well equipped (kettle, extra towels, teas, and cups…). The host was easily available and helpful. Willing to help and answer any question. Highly recommend.

All was very good. The accommodation is located practically in the historic center (Old City of Split, where Diocletian's Palace is located), making visiting this tourist spot easier. Therefore, you'll find restaurants nearby (kebabs, sandwiches, salads, pasta, Japanese/Chinese(Sea food, meat, etc.), and you can stroll through its various streets reminiscent of the Roman Empire. ARRIVAL FROM THE AIRPORT. Take a bus. Tickets can be purchased at the airport. It will drop you off at the bus station near the Old City of Split, on the Adriatic coast, about 4-5 blocks from the main entrance to the historic center. The streets are not flat; slopes of approx. 30° should be considered in some sections. From the station, the accommodation is about 9-10 blocks away. If you decide to walk, I recommend walking along the coast (the main avenue) for about 07 blocks, until you reach the street where the accommodation is located, Matosica No. 5 (this street cuts across the avenue, 03 blocks more). Near the main entrance to the historic site, on the coastal avenue, there is a market selling fruit, meat (street) and a small/medium-sized supermarket, where you can buy water, cookies, yogurt, fruit. The beach is also nearby for those who wish to take this type of tour. About 02-03 blocks away, there is a bus stop (near Theater) that can take you to two well-known malls in Split, as well as other places of interest. The Airport-Old Town bus station also has options for traveling to other places of interest in Croatia. BUILDING: The room with a full bathroom incl. is one (01) of two (02) rooms that are in an apartment in a building, located on the 1st floor, at the entrance. The room window faces the interior of building DESK: It has a rectangular desk attached to the wall, with work lamp, as well as a kettle for infusions. For me BED and closet, OK. Host, Very Good, he answers your Whatsapp messages.

FranceSince the room is on the ground floor, the windows’ glass is opaque for privacy. This makes the room very dark with no outside view at all and since there is no sun it can be a little humid inside. It is fine for a couple of nights but not much longer.
The location is great. Right in the center. The room is modern and the size is fine for one or two persons. Despite being in the center, there isn’t too much noise coming from outside when windows are closed.

BrazilAs far as we noticed, Split is a city that attracts a lot of young people in the summer. Since the apartment is located on the ground floor, you might occasionally hear some noise from the nearby streets, but it’s nothing major. To feel even safer, I think the host could provide clearer instructions to the guests in the room next door to keep the door that gives access to the apartments closed, especially since the building's main door is always open. Additionally, I would suggest providing a small drying rack for wet clothes, as there isn’t much space to dry them in the room.
The apartment is great—very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our 4-day stay in Split. The location is perfect and very convenient for walking, close to all the city’s attractions, restaurants, various transportation options to the beaches, and close to the marina where you can take day trips to the islands. One night, we had an issue with some other people in the building, but the host was very supportive.

United KingdomIt would have been good to have something in the tiny kitchen space to make some breakfast with. You are basically forced to eat out.
Excellent location right in the centre at the edge of the old town. The room was comfy and perfect for a short stay.
