How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only downside was the flight of stairs, but I knew about this beforehand.
The view from the balcony was absolutely phenomenal and even though it rained during our one-night stay, sitting outside was so peaceful and relaxing. Our host was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage in the room well before check-in and even leaving two bottles of water at our door within minutes when I asked where I could get some for the children. Many reviews mention noise from the nearby airport, but as an airplane enthusiast, I actually enjoyed some plane spotting!

The hotel is just like any other hotel: small, clean, and cozy. The owner deserves recognition for her dedication to ensuring guests are happy. Breakfast is delicious, especially the omelets with cheese and ham, prepared by the owner. Warmest regards to the owner and I wish her all the best and good health.

Ivana and her daughter were very nice and accommodating.Gave us a pick of rooms.Small but with a balcony overlooking the sea with Split in the distance.Great experience in the Kastels.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was excellent ,near sea and the hosts were friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.Parking is next to the property, and the host is a motorcyclist.Lep pozdrav :)

Our room was small without a lot of free space. There was not event one single chair inside the room (only in balcony you can find 2 chairs)
Amazing location, will be hard to find a closer flat to the beach. We are talking about 2 minutes by walk! Balcony view to the beach and mountains, with 2 chairs and a small table great for a coffee/tea. Good private parking on site, which can be a lifesaver in Croatia. Comfortable bed. Electrical kettle, mini-fridge and a good knife are available and they do come in handy. Good location regarding supermarkets and restaurants around.

There was travelling Circus/Amusement park in the lot nearby as a result party up to midnight and had to sleep with windows closed. Also, the location is straight on the Airplane landing path - you can hear every plane departing Split Airport.
The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Free parking on the spot. The room has an airconditioner and terrace facing the seaside.

We had a very good time here. The host was very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and well equipped. The beach is literally 20m away and the town center is also 5-10 minutes walk.

Not a place to stay if you're wanting to experience and explore Split.
2min walk from the water, what more could you ask for! Lots of natural light and sea views. Comfortable and clean. Host didn't speak a lot of English but was very nice and happy to help with anything. Laundry services were great, best I've had during my travels. Supermarket close by for any essentials and a really nice pizza restaurant a short walk away along the water (they also have amazing crepes for breakfast). Would absolutely come back here, the perfect place to relax.

We got to be in the 3rd floor without elevator. Was not so practical with heavy luggages. But it did not bother us much though. Every thing was quite good 😊👍
Quiet & quite charming place with kind host. Ivana and her daughter were very welcoming even though we got late flight and reached their place at 21.45 evening. Tidy and clean appartment. I recommend anyone to book Ivana's nice place, short walk to the beach (50m) and exquisite view from the balcony and big smile welcoming you 😊 for sure we'll be back! 🙏

Nothing really bothered us during our stay. We had everything we needed. Just don't expect luxuries, as this is a simple, but great property.
First of all, Ivana was great! We arrived close to 11 pm, and she was prompt and very helpful about everything. Checking in was a breeze, and she was responsive to every message we exchanged. The room is simple, but the beds are great and so is the shower, which is what i actually care about when staying anywhere. Free parking was a bonus, since we had a rental. Overall it wa a stress-free stay, and we would book it again!

The air-conditioner is hanging right opposite one bed, so you should figure out,whether not using this bed (as we did) or ask to change the settings of this air-conditioner to feel comfortable.
Beds were comfortable, the room was tidy and clean. We got a very good breakfast from our host in the morning. It is situated not far from the airport, so it is ideal place to stay if you’re coming late to Split and need a short break before moving to another place. There is a beach and a nice children playground just in 1 min walk. Perfect with little children.
