Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaLittle choice of basic food for breakfast. The hotel is dated, carpets, beds, all seem to be overdue for change. One can hear everything from the corridor. It is a budget hotel so allnof these things are not a surprise.
The staff members were helpful and kind. The beds were comfy and clean.

United StatesIt's not a brightly lit environment. The front lobby had all the lights shut off. Walking down the hallway to my room, It was dark. Things like that create kind of a uninviting environment.
I enjoyed the staff as they were very helpful and friendly. I thought the price of food and drinks in their restaurant was very reasonable. And the food was good.

CroatiaThe breakfast offer was poor and felt like a student canteen. Tablecloths on the breakfast table would have been expected, and with place settings laid, would have been more welcoming.

ItalyThe hotel was amazing and the Guy at the reception very funny. Only things I did not like are that there were hairs of beard all over the sink: It was not clean. Also, It was 30 mins away from the center, but that's okay because It was not very expensive. Overall good experience. I would try to keep the rooms cleaner

GermanyThe breakfast was very limited; it would be better to have a bit more variety and to serve higher-quality bread.
It was clean, friendly staff. The bathroom was clean, but it would have been better to use a glass panel instead of a curtain so that the cleanliness would be more noticeable, and it should also have a soap holder.

BelgiumQuite a good hotel. Of course there are some shortcomings, the hotel hasn't been renovated for a long time, when you enter it you get into the atmosphere of the nineties. But in general everything else is on a good level, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

United KingdomI was in room 226, almost at the end of the corridor, I had to run the water for about 5 minutes before it became hot, such a waste. Breakfast was basic and cold. Sausages and eggs were in an ashet which was switched off, one toaster for all the guests. Popcorn from previous guests lying on the carpet.
Staff were pleasant and helpful Room was spacious Bed was comfortable Water was hot, eventually Towels changed daily

Czech RepublicThe hotel looks like it remembers better times. Nowadays, its furnishings have a somewhat retro feel. The only window in the room had a broken opening/closing mechanism and was not allowed to be moved. The air conditioning didn't work (or I didn't figure out how to control it), it was over 30°C outside during the day and the room couldn't be aired properly. The bathroom is connected to the toilet, unfortunately without ventilation. The announced hairdryer was in the bathroom, but it didn't work either. The shape of the bath was completely inappropriate, with a long slant at the only access point - it would be very difficult for a person with even minimal mobility restrictions to get in and out. The tub's silicone seal was moldy, and there was a rubber band sticking out of the drain.
Breakfast was acceptable, great choice (only the scrambled eggs looked rather unpleasant). The 24-hour reception was also good. Good location - a few minutes walk from the centre, several stops of various tram and bus lines nearby.

ItalyThe facilities were hold, as well as the AC system which was noisy and not working properly. In some of the rooms we booked it was quite hot and it was hard to sleep. In one of the rooms the light of the toilet was also not working. Breakfast is mostly salty, can be improved. Chaotic and not much choice.
Fairly central position, easy to reach the attractions of the city by around 30 min walk. Big parking available for 7€/day, also for buses. The rooms were decent and clean.

CroatiaSince it’s a hotel they would need to level up the cleanliness. The carpets were dirty and dusty. The window doesn’t have any kind of window shade so if you like to sleep in this isn’t your type of accomodation. The cleaning lady didn’t make the beds at all and the towels are changed every 3 days which is not an usual hotel practice. Breakfast also poor.
The location is excellent, very close to tram station that takes you directly to city center. It’s a good value for your money since it’s a lot cheaper than the apartments near by.

United KingdomIt is very dated. The aircon was terrible so room so hot. There was already a leak in the bathroom with a wet mat. The shower fell off the wall. Really grumpy breakfast serving lady.
It was a good location. A short tram ride away from the city. Booked because it was so much cheaper than other hotels and included breakfast. Breakfast was much better than the reviews suggested. Cooked eggs and sausages, fruit, cold meats and cheeses. Good pizza place across the road.

IndonesiaJust feels a bit run down, the curtains in the room were broken, and there were no power points to charge cell phones etc. the TV was also an 1980s style portable, and useless.
Laguna is a typical 80s (Croatian) large hotel in central lower town Zagreb. It has a spacious reception with easy parking and drop off, and the dining area is big and we'll equipped. The standard room is OK and still uses the metal key. Water and bathroom were pretty good.
