I had a bit of a school camp feeling about the room and the shared bathroom.

While our stay was generally pleasant, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The rooms lacked nets on the windows, which made it difficult to keep out mosquitoes and other bugs, especially in the evening. This was a bit inconvenient, as we had to keep the windows closed to avoid getting bitten. Additionally, the single beds felt quite flimsy and didn't seem built to last. It might be worth investing in sturdier beds for long-term use to ensure guests have a more comfortable experience.

We stayed one night at this nice rustic spot, for those who appreciate a more traditional, no-frills experience. The small rooms and shared bathrooms worked fine for us since we were traveling as a family, not sure with strangers. Everything was clean, including the bed and bathroom, which was a relief. The shared kitchen with the owners wasn't an issue for our short stay. The yard was a highlight, spacious and great for the kids to play in during the afternoon. Just be aware, you’ll need mosquito spray if you plan to be outside in the evening! The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially since there were no nets on the windows. The owners were friendly and helpful.

The shared toilet was not indicated at the time of booking. There was no air-conditioning in the room. There were no mosquito nets on the windows, so at least we couldn't have slept with the windows open. The kitchen was chaos, I wouldn't have had breakfast there...

The house was very dirty, from the plates in the kitchen to the spider nets on the heater and windows. The whole place is run down, and not worth the money they ask for. The description mentioned breakfast which upon arrival were told needed prior request. Since it was one of the reasons we chose the location, we were very disappointed.

I usually support the family-run business, but i had a hard time here: there were spider's web and spiders near beds(which my 4 year old could not sleep as she was terrified by that) The toilet would stinked of sewers. There is no AC , but a fan that works with water to cool the air.... the floor was dirty, same for toilet...stairs for the second floor are highly dangerous for small kids. There was an exposed / broken plug showing electric wires(highly dangerous).. the house has been closed and due to the extreme heat during the day(we arrived late evening) it had a smell(from the sewers of the bathroom) that it was unbearable... we wanted to sleep and go on the travel the next day...but it impacted our recovery sleep... very bad choice (im sorry for being brutally honest)

This is a family business. They live in the premesis of the rooms. And are non-intrussive. The lady that hosted us, was very nice.

We don't speak Croatian, and the owner or owner's mother (?) didn't speak English, so we were taken upstairs to a room and told "choose"--the room had twin beds separate. We did not see the owner or anyone after that initial interaction. There were cobwebs and the place felt like a ghost town.There was no airconditioning in the room (as advertised) and instead air was in the central upstairs room (but you can't sleep with the door open when other guests are there) We travelled in summer and could not sleep because of the heat. I feel uncomfortable listing these downsides because it seems to be a family run business and we want to support that but with the glowing reviews, I wanted to make sure that folks know what are other aspects to the property.

We want to love this property so much. It's obviously an act of love, and there is a charm to the buildings and the location--by the river, rural (chickens in a coop), decor with a nod to folk art from Croatia. There's free parking and it's very peaceful. For the price, it was a bargain and well-worth it. And I can see it as a great place for a family with children (as long as they don't need airconditioning) or a retreat for a group of families.
