How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

That was not the case!
We had a pleasant stay, the apartment is very well organized and clean, and the communication with the host was very easy. I hope we will come back here, and from our side we give the best recommendations and a 10.

Excellent stay. Good location yet quiet rooms. Nice and clean, well equipped. Host was exceptional, very helpful and friendly. Loved that we could leave our luggage for a bit after check out. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you!

Please make sure you check the images of the specific room that you're booking. I mixed up the photos so I was a bit surprised that our Double Room was so small. Finding a parking spot is pretty much a nightmare - be patient, you'll have to drive around quite a bit as there's only street parking and no parking garages nearby. Also: if you arrive with heavy luggage: beware that the apartment is on the third floor with no elevator.
Everything was clean. The apartment is right outside the old town of Split so you can walk to the main places.

The host Vedrana was extremely helpful and friendly, answered all of my many questions. My husband and I needed a room to spend 6 hours in only, as we had to make a break and continue our travel. So Vedrana made it possible to check in very early to accommodate our need. She was so wonderful and we're so extremely happy and grateful for that. The flat is amazing, clean, light, spacious and really comfortable. Specially the bed. Thanks so much Vedrana, this will be our flat in Split from now on! Best regards and all the best wishes, Azra!

Nothing! Just be aware it is on the 3rd floor with no lift.
A stylist, comfortable and quiet room with a balcony. Good facilities and easy to check in. Host was very responsive.

The host is absolutely amazing. She did everything she could to make us feel at home and to help us with our questions. The room is really compact yet really cute and was spotlessly clean. Very close to the center and the ferry stop in a nice calm area. Highly recommend

Walk from ferry was manageable, especially if traveling light. Same for stairs up to 3rd floor, no elevator.
The location was good, close to Diocletians Palace and old town. Clean and comfortable unit. Open the cabinet so air conditioning works better.

I’d like to recommend rethinking the air conditioning cupboard. While a good design decision, the cool air did not come out into the bedroom as much as we hoped.
The interior design of this apartment was a delight. We appreciated the modern style. And the shower was heavenly. The location was superb - just minutes from the centre of the action which meant we had easy access to Split highlights as well as the peace and quiet of a nearby neighbourhood.

The rooms are on the 3rd floor with no elevator. This was not clear on the ad. If you're traveling with a lot of luggage it will be a hassle to come up.
The room was great, very clean and with an amazing localization. The staff was cordial and helpful.

Not very clear when arriving at the location that I was in the right place. Would be good to have a sign on the outside of the building. Host was very prompt and helpful when contacted with helping access the building/room

If you want to be fussy, the shutters didn’t close 100% due to their age, but it kind of added to the charm and didn’t really bother us.
Lovely, clean, great location. The room was big and whilst the kitchen and bathroom were smaller, they were more than adequate and the shower was lovely and hot and powerful. Owner could not have been lovelier or more accommodating. Quick response to messages.

Unfortunately the accommodation had a pretty unpleasant smell from the minute we walked in - managed to fix it by opening windows in the bedroom but it remained in the bathroom for our whole stay.
