Very rustic accommodation which was quite unusual. Home made food for breakfast and evening meal.

We liked everything

Bedroom was very clean and was a beautiful room with lots of wood decoration. Terrace with chairs. Shower spacious and everything worked well. Restaurant food excellent. Owner lovely. Close to bear sanctuary. Peaceful location.

Beautiful location - for a relaxing and a quiet stay. Welcoming staff, very friendly. The food was amazing (we had an evening meal and breakfast) - home cooked, really good value for money. Room was beautiful, had a balcony which was a nice addition. Our favourite stay on our holiday!

Lovely remote spot, super beautiful. Lovely comfy beds, nice shower. Food was traditional simple and delicious. We found not knowing the prices tricky. The food was 12 -14 euros for a main dish. The pudding was ama!ing.

Very friendly staff. We had a very warm welcome. The owner invited us to a snack and drink when we arrived. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were delicious. What's also great is the location. You are close to the bear refuge, surrounded by mountains and the entire village is really picturesque. The hotel has a fantastic ambience. Our kids enjoyed the play corner on the patio.

I loved everything about it.

The owner - Dubravka - was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, defying all language barriers with her welcome and care. The room was perfect. The view and ambience was incredibly beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a bear sanctuary just down the road.

Excellent location close to the bears with a real community feel, excellent and friendly staff, exceptional traditional Croatian food. Apartment was good quality, very clean with basic cooking facilities - ideal for family stay. Would highly recommend.

The room was stylish, and modern. The property was alive and there was a great spirit amongst the staff and the guests. This is a a gem tucked away from the main road. Stay if you like to talk to other guests and owners, and above all if you like homemade food.

Just amazing! The quality of the room was excellent. We ate dinner & breakfast in the restaurant- really good food cooked by the mother of the household. Very traditional but they still catered for vegetarians, even with the language barrier! Very dog friendly & we went to the bear sanctuary- amazing experience & dog friendly too :)

We LOVED our stay here, and it felt like such an incredible home. The rooms were cozy, clean, beautiful, and very spacious. Also, we had a delicious and plentiful breakfast and dinner here. It's very close to a bear sanctuary, which we recommend, and hiking in the nearby national park. The owner was so kind and patient with us and has such a sweet dog. Make sure to bring cash as payment!

Such a lovely welcome and a homely feel. The room was simple with lovely linens and a nice view. Great good after a days walking with lots of choice. Do glad we stayed two night.

Homey atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel more like you're visiting family than staying at a hotel. We loved being greeted by the family dogs and cat in front of the cozy cottage. Walking around and meeting all of the other animals was a treat too.

Absolutely amazing. Wooden kingdom. Wooden rooms, wooden smells, wooden toys... The hosts are so nice that after one night we were leaving like a family already. The apartment was one of the cutest ever. The breakfast was very tasty and big.

Would have liked to know more about the property's context and farming if anything could be written or communicated in English. Also seeing food menus written down, with clear descriptions (in English ideally) and prices would have been helpful especially if we had had any dietary restrictions.

Lovely rustic property in a rural setting with traditional food and drink and a warm welcome from the hosts. Our bedrooms looked recently renovated and to a high standard whilst keeping their rustic charm. Very comfy bed and gorgeous bathroom. Quiet and safe, with just a few bedrooms in total. Host didn't speak great English but we got by in a mixture of Croatian, German and English! Had complimentary local bread, cheese and drinks on arrival. We ate dinner there too which was delicious, (spoiler alert) we had fish, chicken and mixed meats, with potatoes and vegetables and salad, and a sort of yummy fried pastry for dessert. Breakfast was also amazing - omelette, ham, cheese, fruit, bread, jam, hot and cold drinks. We left very full of food! It is near to the bear sanctuary, a few mins walk or a very short drive.

The house doesn’t have air conditioning so it’s something to be aware of when the days and nights are hot and humid during the summer.

This guest house was so cute! The location is walking distance to the bear sanctuary and in a peaceful area of the countryside. The host was kind, flexible, and understanding. And the food was delicious!! Definitely recommend enjoying breakfast and dinner here. They can also adapt to dietary needs, if you let them know ahead of time, and were able to prepare some vegetarian plates for me, which I appreciated.

We would have liked to be able to talk a bit more with our host but the language barrier made it difficult.

Guest accommodation Butina is very beautiful. The decoration has been carefully thought out and shows great taste and creativity which we really enjoyed. We also ate very well, generous portions and simple but very tasty and well prepared dishes. In fact, probably the best potato salad I ever had! Not to mention the welcome aperitif and excellent home made liqueur offered at the end of the meal. The location, the surrounding nature and the village are very pretty and it's only a 3 minutes walk to the bear refuge. We also loved the little farmyard in front of the house and the friendly dog hanging around. All in all a great stay ; we highly recommend Butina.
