Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLocation was ideal for walking the old town. The hotel room was modern and very clean. The breakfast was very nice with wide variety of foods prepared with great quality and high class. In advance of our arrival the hotel manager was very responsive to messages and was there to greet us personally when we arrived.

AustraliaThe location is excellent a very short walk to the historic old town of Trogir. Mariana was extremely helpful and responsive and arranged everything we asked for immediately. The restaurant that is part of the hotel is Michelin recommended for the past several years- the food is sublime and we would highly recommend that if you C are visiting Trogir to have a lunch or dinner at this restaurant. Excellent, creative and well portioned delicious food. Thank you

CanadaNot to like. Balcony was unusable except for laundry. There was no shade and we could see and smell the smoke and grease from kitchen stack that was at same level and 2m away. And, although it really wasn't a problem, it was odd accessing the room.. we were walking through the restaurant. Again, not really a problem, but the free parking requires you to get a ticket validated by restaurant staff every time you want to leave parking lot. TIP. A 3rd floor room without balcony is probably cheaper and better choice.
Lots of things to like. We arrived at 9am after departing from a boat and they gave us a room after about 15 mins which was so nice. Very good location just 1 min from old town across a pedestrian only bridge but also very close to grocery, less touristy stuff. Free parking adjacent. Very nice room with huge king bed, very soundproof (we couldn't hear the church bells until opening the door) nice shower, actual TV channels a couple English, mini fridge, balcony good to hang laundry. The breakfast was fine, to order, no buffet.

United StatesPlease see comment above. Horrible breakfast expert.
Breakfast was a huge disappointment. We have had dinner and lunch several times here over the past two years on visits to Trogir which have been excellent in every way. In fact we have purchased two gift certificates for friends to have dinner. Back to the breakfast , Sunny side up eggs on a paper thin piece of ham and a few pieces of chopped tomato and 3 little pieces of cucumber, and stale bread was served. The omelette with cheese and vegetables only contained cheese with the same few pieces of tomato and cucumber on the side. . Server had to be asked for service, then napkins, twice for butter and marmalade.. Clearly not the professional servers we have had in the past. She served croissants to the table next to us and I noticed it was a good 15 minutes before she brought them butter and ham. The man also asked for salt and pepper and finally got up and got it off another table himself. They too had to repeatedly ask for the basics. Young female server who was Totally clueless. Kinda ruins the whole experience.

We booked at short notice as our original booking at the Bellevue was cancelled by the hotel 24hrs before our arrival. What luck for us as we were delighted with Il Ponte. Accommodation, location and staff were fantastic.

AustriaA breakfast menu with dishes to choose from would be helpful as there is no buffet.
Very beautiful and clean rooms with a Michelin star restaurant in the ground floor. In front of the accommodation there is a large public parking lot, where you can park and the costs will be paid by il Ponte or the staff will open the barrier at the exit. Generally very friendly staff. The included breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious.

United StatesWe had a challenging time finding the place. We didn’t realize we needed to go through a gated parking lot to get there. After many turnarounds, we called them and they directed us to the destination.
Great breakfast. Updated rooms and restaurant is lovely too. Little balcony with a view of the local boats/fortress.

BelgiumThis is not an hotel but rather a set of rooms above a classy restaurant. That restaurant itself is really good with excellent food and a fantastic staff. The rooms itself are nice and clean and it is required to check in via the restaurant. We were the only guests locating there which is probably why the breakfast was a total joke. In the morning the restaurant was deserted so we we had to locate someone in the kitchen to get some attention. The staff then basically had to prepare a table and improvise to get some very basic food on the table and serve us. It was clearly out of their comfort zone to do this. We had the impression that the cleaning staff was asked to provide breakfast for us and there wasn’t much to work with. This was the worst breakfast of our 3 week trip in Croatia while it was the most expensive room (€250/night). This was totally out of balance and a big disappointment considering the quality of the food in the restaurant the evening before.
The restaurant
