How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Since it is located on top of the party street, I would suggest to add some noise cancelling system to the windows. The mattress is also a little thin, so not so confortable.
The location is perfect, clean and very good for the price.

There could be one shower and toilet more, but we did not need to wait long.
We got everything what we expected. There is a bar belllow window, people were talkin dow there, but it was not an issue to fall asleep. It is in middle of Hvar. Very high grade for price-performance.

There wasn’t any mirrors within our room and the shared bathroom was missing a toilet seat and had a lack of toilet paper.

It is on top of a party street so it is quite noisy, if you expect to have a proper rest you should maybe go to another place. It had only one bathroom for almost 10 people. It doesnt have a kitchen.
The hostel is really well located, in the center of Hvar and the rooms have AC.

The location is good, although near to some parties so expect some noise until 2am
The vibe of the hostel is super nice! Felipe received us and already helped organizing a boat tour which was super nice! The rooms are also good, we had a problem with the shower on the first day (was clogged) and the accommodation fixed it very fast!

Just be warned that the music from the bars downstairs are extremely loud, and they don't stop until around 2am! Also the beds are really squeaky and sensitive to the slightest movement.
The rooms were clean and exactly how they were advertised! Located right next door to the Kiva bar, this hostel is in a perfect location in the town.

Odd location (entrance in the middle of outdoor restaurant seating), incredibly loud at night (surrounded by nightclubs).

The noise from Kiva bar which is on the floor below will probably keep you sleepless until 2AM and will probably wake you up before 09AM (cleaning). Make sure you bring the earplugs but even that might not help (which won’t be a problem if you are partying as well). WiFi connection is poor. During my entire stay, the water heater in the room bathroom was not working, so only cold water available. On all days, there wouldn’t be any toilet paper in the mornings.
This is the very, very heart of the Hvar town, so the location is amazing, in the center of all the cool places, supermarket, bakery and 3-minute walk from the port. All the staff was quite nice and friendly, helpful with recommendations, etc. Really big lockers in the room and the bathroom is within the room but also one for the entire floor outside of room.

It can be loud
It has an amazing location, right in the city centre. But there is a club under and it can be quite loud (it closes at 2am). The stuff was very nice and fun, they even arranged different activities. The room is nice, not too small, there is enough space for everyone and everything.

The room was small and there was only one bathroom to share with a lot of people. It's a little nosy since it's located near a bar with loud music till 2am (for those who don't want to enjoy the night life it might me a concern)
The hosts, Medina and Pipe, are incredibly nice and friendly and have a lot of recommendations about the island. The hostel is perfect located near the port and the center, close to restaurants, supermarkets and bars

It was up above a busy bar. But that finishes at 2. The first night we went to bed early and didn't really hear anything. The 2nd night we joined the party. Could have done with a towels or a full length mirror.
Group of 5 girls. Mixed bed dorm. Comfortable enough. Hot water. Good location. Easy check in.

Room was maybe slightly on the small side for 8 people, but it was still fine.
Amazing location right in the centre of Hvar town, so convenient. All the staff were really friendly, and it was very clean. Comfy beds and good showers.

If you want to sleep before 2 am you won't. The hostel is in the middle of a very busy street with loud music and a lot of people. My bed doesn't have a socket close, only complain about the infrastructure.
Good location, close to bars and restaurants. Frigobar at the reception if you want to use it.

The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. she asked me about my plans in Hvar and gave me useful tips, we had a great chat. The hostel is also very central, close to everything.

There were no towels for the guests, it's a bit loud before 2 am as it's on top of the main bar and the beds are a bit noisy.
The rooms were clean with big lockers, staff is friendly and the people staying at the hostel at that time were also cool. Supermarket isn't that far.
