Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI wasn't a fan of the stairs and carting my suitcase up. My 67yo hips were not happy. I should have read that before booking , but my fault all good
Great location close to bus station for trips out of Zadar and close to city buses to get to old town. Room was a good size with small ensuite which was adequate. Very clean and use of full kitchen. Owner kept in touch with instructions to find and get into place and let me leave luggage early which was thoughtful.

GreeceThe bathroom is super small and uncomfortable. You have to make a real effort to lean to the tiny washbasin to brush your teeth or to take a shower. The room is small and has nowhere to leave your stuff. The bed is cramped in the corner. The mattress a little too soft for our liking, but that's subjective.
The room was clean. Located in a cute little street, some 20min away on foot from the city center. Parking is easy. The host was very kind and informative. Even offered wine and water. The room also has a terrace. Very good light blocking if you need darkness to sleep properly.

HungaryLet’s face it, it’s a tiny room with limited space. The bed mattress is soft, some like it, others not so much. The neighbourhood is derelict, though the people living here are friendly and welcoming. It feels safe even at night.
Very knowledgeable and supportive host. She’s got a lot of love for running the accommodation to please every guest. Nice, convenient terrace, especially in good weather for breakfast or nighttime discussions. The property is in walking distance from the historic city centre. Easy entry and free parking in 2 minutes on the street. We felt very welcome.

United KingdomThe size of the bathroom is small. Toilet, sink and shower in one place but we managed for one night.
We had an early flight and this guest house was only a 6 minute walk to the bus station for the 4.05 AM shuttle bus to the airport. The room was very clean and Roki was there to greet us . The room also had a balcony. There is a very good restaurant nearby called Kuzina which we ate in.

PolandI knew what type of bathroom we would get but it was still disappointing. The door doesn’t really make sense (it’s slide door) and you cannot do anything in the bathroom without being heard or smelled.
Everything was nice. The AC worked, close to the bus station, all the commodities were as promised

Absolutely loved my stay here, you can tell that the owners have put their heart and soul into the place, such great vibes. I didn't meet the hosts in person but they were available via WhatsApp and responded immediately! I had room 2 which had a private balcony with sun loungers and a table and chairs which was such a great surprise! You could help yourself to free tea, coffee and other snacks. There was also 2 free bottles of water in the fridge which I thought was a really nice touch. I'll definitely come back here again. Its really easy to find from the bus station and only a few minutes walk. There are lots of shops nearby too. Thank you for a beautiful stay ❤️🌞 Ps I noticed a few comments about how small the bathroom is and I honestly didn't find this a problem at all...please don't let this put you off! The shower is great and there were lots of toiletries to choose from. As a solo traveller I felt 100% safe, hvala.

BelgiumThis has nothing to do with the Guest House but neighbours came back one hour after "quiet time" and were "unquiet" till at least 1 am... Very short first night. Happens everywhere and all the time, though.
Very cozy place, with all the comfort and equipment you need - and more. LIving room and kitchen very nicely fitted out, tastefully decorated, and tea/coffee available at all times. Room was nicely arranged, with small terrace. Place is very clean, owners are quick in answering questions and check-in and -out were smooth. Location a bit out of town but still within walking distance, and close to large supermarkets.

United KingdomThe bathroom is tiny, which we couldn't quite see before in the pictures. But all worked well, so for a short stay, we think it's perfectly fine!
Good location for us, very near to the bus station. Quarter of an hour walk to the old town, easy. Nice little courtyard to sit in, fully equipped kitchen/lounge downstairs, very handy, very good communication with the host, much appreciated!

United KingdomA fantastic little place, 4 minutes walk from the main bus station. The room itself is small however you do have access to a fully fitted kitchen / dining room/lounge shared with one other room. The room has a small toilet and shower room ensuite, but it is small but usable, however there is another larger bathroom available in the shared accommodation area. There is everything you need, in a room, TV. Hairdryer, soas shampoos etc, tea and coffee and a few other goodies in the.kitchen. This place is great for a short break in zadar.

FinlandMaybe if you are looking to experience Zadar (beaches, old town, etc), there are better options. But if you need close proximity to the bus station, this is a great place! The bathroom in my room was super tiny (shower right above the toilet), so it's probably not very convenient if you are planning a longer stay.
The room had everything I expected (private bedroom with attached bathroom). The room was very nicely decorated and very-very clean! I didn't use the common area of the house, but it looked pretty nice. The host was also very helpful. All communication was taking place via WhatsApp with the host providing very detailed directions to the place via pictures and even leaving a welcome gift in the fridge :) The accommodation is less than a 10minute walk from the bus station, which is what I needed.
