Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandSome people may not like the stairs, but it's dubrovnik, so stairs are everywhere. But if you have trouble walking i recommend looking for something else. Otherwise no problem.
Amazing host, views, perfect location - lots of beaches around, walking distance to old town, bus stops, shops and restaurants nearby. The terrace was incredible, worth every penny. Fridge, AC, hot water, WiFi, everything worked really good and we had no problems.

My mom and I traveled together, and when we arrived early, they took care of our luggage and tried to help us whenever we needed help. The room was kept very clean and the dishes and bedding were clean. Thanks to them, we had a pleasant trip.

United StatesThe bathroom is a bit strange. There's no separation between the shower and the WC and sink. So, when one takes a shower, everything else gets wet.
It had everything we needed for our trip.

United KingdomPlease be aware that the accommodation is accessed on foot, the descent to the restaurants and beach is via pedestrian steps, perhaps not for the very elderly or infirm.
This little guest house is very welcoming. The host is fantastic and met us with a drink when we arrived. The accommodation is nice and private along a small street with no cars. The bedroom was lovely and clean, quite spacious. The shower room, though a little dated, was clean and had powerful shower. There is a little terrace outside where you can sit and enjoy the fantastic views. It is shared with the adjacent room but there is plenty of space. The promenade to the beach is a short descent down the pedestrian walkways, plenty of restaurants and a lovely beach. We had a very enjoyable few days here. The bus to the Old Town is at the bottom of the hill near the promenade area, line 6, tickets can be purchased on board or from a kiosk (slightly cheaper)

United StatesMy only issue was the bathroom set up, where the shower head was basically just mounted to the wall with no curtain or wall. This didn’t really cause issues, but it was just weird, since the bathroom floor was then always wet.
The room was clean and comfortable. The balcony had a beautiful view, and it was a short walk to the bus stop. The hosts were very kind. This made Guest House Misita a great, affordable, and convenient location for us.

United KingdomIt is a little outdated and all up hill to get there.
We absolutely loved staying at Guest House Mista! They were super friendly and willing to help with any issues and queries we had. The location is decent, 10mins from the beach and the bus to the old town is easy to locate, plus theres grocery shops near by. Its a nice and quiet area, away from all the hustle and bustle of the old town. If you are in Dubrovnik for a couple days I highly recommend staying with them!

United StatesArrival directions could have been clearer. A description that one could arrive from above or below the building would have been helpful. The fact that the unit was down (or up) a walking alley from the nearby street above and below, would have made finding it easier for myself and the taxi driver
Nico was an amazing gentleman and offered a couple drinks...wine & a raki on successive nights. He walked me down to the commercial area and pointed out some great restaurants where he knew the quality and variety of local food

It is in the perfect spot for exploring Dubrovnik, we enjoyed being so close to the beaches and being outside the old town which is very busy but very Easy to catch the short bus ride into the old town. Lots to do in Lapad with beautiful walks nearby. Accommodation was perfect for 2 of us, beautiful views on the terrace and amazing homely hospitality and hosts that made sure you felt welcome.
