Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed was harder than we like.
The place is charming. We like being in a neighborhood instead of the noisy marina area. The restaurants nearby were excellent and not as expensive. We sat outside our room having breakfast. They have a Moka coffee maker and ground coffee in our kitchen, so the expressos were perfect. We wanted to do some snorkeling but hadn't packed any beach towels. Ana provided us the towels. Thank you for a lovely visit!

Absolutely nothing!
We LOVED our stay here! The room was very spacious and clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, the location was fantastic, but the best thing about this place is the host! She was so kind and helpful! We would love to return one day.

We liked everything, it was absolutely perfect.
I went to Hvar with family and friends for a couple of days and we stumbled upon Guest House Kovacevic when looking for accommodation. From the moment I expressed my interest in booking, our host Ana did everything to make our trip preparations as well as our say as comfortable as possible. Upon arriving, she explained the house rules and provided us with an exhaustive list of recommendations in and around Hvar, ranging from activities to bars and restaurants. As we booked multiple rooms, I had a chance to see them in a bit more detail. The rooms are extremely clean, nicely decorated, and provide ample shade from the Sun when sitting on the balcony area surrounded by a beautiful garden with olive trees. The beds are very comfortable and the alartments have a small kitchen that allows you to cook a full meal. The location itself was also perfect from our perspective, as it was within a short 5 minute walking distance from the picturesque Old Town in Hvar, yet isolated from the crowds, the bustle and the noise that you encounter once you get into the Old Town, so it was an extremely peaceful neighbourhood that was located perfectly. I really can’t sat enough positive things about our stay in Hvar, we felt welcomed from the get-go with an unmatched level of hospitality by Ana. I have already recommended this accommodation to family and friends, and will definitely be coming back. Thanks a lot for the hospitality!

The location is slightly out of the way but not a big deal as there lots of stair routes. Some of our friends rooms were small and more like hotel rooms.
Super clean and personable apartments. Our group of ten stayed and we were really impressed with the air con, kitchens, washing machines and cleanliness. Ana and her family were lovely too!

Great location in a quieter part of town but still within easy walking distance to the center. Room was comfortable and had all we needed for a short stay.
