How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

No cups for kettle use were available 😢. Pillows were too soft.
Parking area is very convenient to access the Guest house. The room was clean and very convenient for one night's stay! Glad there was a kettle 😁

Instructions for door lock and unlock
The room was excellent. We had trouble understanding the instructions for opening the lock and closing it but could be our lack of experience . Room was immaculate, bed and pillows very comfortable and shower amazing . Highly recommend

It's not easy to locate the property. It is a unit in a high rise building that is in a pedestrian only lane. Although the owners give very detailed directions on how to locate the unit, we still struggled to locate it and a parking spot. The lock for the door is needlessly complicated to figure out. It requires inputting a code when you lock and unlock the door and is not easy to figure out even though the owners provide detailed instructions.
The apartment is very nice, spacious, comfortable, and newly renovated. The location is less than 5 Euro Uber ride from Diocletian Palace.

The room was clean, the personal very friendly, over all a good experience. The staff were absolutely exceptional in ensuring our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The comfort we found in the room exceeded what we expected and we would absolutely return. Located in a quiet place in Split, everything is brand new. I would highly recommend it when traveling with 2 persons.

Very thorough and precise check in, perfectly clean room and bathroom with very nice furniture. Absolutely quiet and well located. Mini bar, kettle at disposal. Very affordable and close to the station and the centre.

It was a perfect location and a very comfortable space for our family to enjoy Split. It is located in a building that is surrounded by good parking and food options, as well as family-friendly activities. The guest house provided a crib in our room, so we had everything we needed! It was convenient having the comfort of an apartment with the amenities of a hotel with nice breakfast. And despite almost central location, it was nice and quiet!

The staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The room was well-sized and comfortable and was very quiet. It was a great stay. The breakfast was nice with a good variety and the staff was friendly. The bathroom was also beautiful. Overall, it was a great experience!

A very nice place, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect - good parking and close to bus station to the center. There is a nice cafe nearby, a supermarket and a great fast food across the street. The host was very friendly and helpful, always in contact on Whatsapp. We got very clear instructions how to get to our room and check in. Thank you!

In a pedestrian street, this is guest house, but like a small hotel. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped. Beds are comfortable and very clean. Despite central location, the rooms were silent. We could leave are luggage there before the official check in time. The staff were very nice.

All together a great stay. Unusal location, very modern in an old building. Very warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Really nice breakfast delivered in the morning, where a number of other breakfast items were supplied to prepare your own breakfast. Super-comfortable beds.
