How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was great
We had the most amazing time in Split thanks to a great apartment. Four Elements is well located, walking distance from the city centre and promenade. Andrija is a wonderful host, providing lots of information. The apartment is clean, beautifully maintained and well-equipped - one of the best venues we have stayed at. It is highly recommended.

Property is centrally located (very short walking distance to the historical area), fully equiped for shorter and longer stays, very nice design and comfortable beds too! I liked everything. Appartment was very clean which is something that I really value. Also, our host Andrija was amazing and very helpful with the organization of the parking, suitcases and even providing useful tips and tricks for our stay. I would highly recommend.

So close to the Old Town and nice to be slightly away from the busy area. Andrija was amazing from the minute we arrived, giving lots of information about the area and what to do. So thoughtful to let us check out later as we had a late afternoon flight. Thank you

We had a great stay at Four Elements. Andrija was really welcoming and helpful. He showed us exactly where to park, which made things so much easier. The place is just a short walk from the old town, so the location was perfect. He also sent us useful info in advance that helped us plan our Hvar day trip without stress. Very kind and reliable host. Would definitely stay here again.

I know there's not much that can't be done about this but it was a bit noisy.
It was a nice place and the location is good but on a main street so it was a bit noisy and about a 10 minute walk to the old town

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Four Elements in Split, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed — a perfect balance of modern comfort and local charm. A huge shoutout to Andrija, the owner, who clearly pours his heart into this place. He was incredibly helpful, offering great tips on where to eat and what to see. You can tell he really cares about making every guest feel at home. Also, a big thank you to Hannah, one of the staff members, who was always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything I needed. The location is ideal — close enough to the old town to walk (10min). Everything was spotless and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. Can’t recommend Four Elements enough. Whether you’re in Split for a few days or longer, this place is a gem — made even better by the people who run it.

Absolutely beautiful, brand new accommodation, very comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need. Really friendly staff, Andrija welcomed us and supported with free parking and had great suggestions for an evening in downtown Split. Just loved it!

Perfect for a short walk to the city - 15 min . Don’t be fooled by the outside of this apartment, the inside is fantastic! The host super helpful! We will def be staying here on our next visit. Has everything you will need for self catering. Very modern

Walking distance to bus 37 from airport and town centre. Clean and well equipped apartment incl. coffe machine and safe.The bed is big and comfortable. Air condition effective and very quite. The street is very noise but you hear nothing when you shut the windows. Very good communication with owner/manager incl. all necesarry info about local shops, bakery etc. We were able to check in much more earlier.
