We had a really nice view from the room, as well as from the garden. The owner was super friendly and lended us parking cards and gave very good tips for beaches or restaurants. There were 4 super cute and friendly dogs, absolutely no need to be afraid of them. Overall, Farmhouse Cubani has a personal environment but you still can have privacy. It‘s a very peaceful place and we would recommend to everybody if you want to have a nice stay. Due to the limited number of rooms you can enjoy the quiet. 10 minutes to the beach 3-4 min to Bale 15 min to Rovinj

A wonderful, peaceful place, away from the city, but not too far. A small farm with sheep and friendly dogs and cats. The hosts were very positive, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with many home-made products. I hope to return to this place someday.

The house was absolutely beautiful, and the host was kind and helpful throughout our stay. Located in a peaceful area, it’s the perfect choice if you’re looking to escape the noise and truly relax. We had a wonderful weekend stay at this charming old Istrian house, ideally located in the western part of the peninsula. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming—even preparing us a delicious breakfast featuring scrambled eggs with freshly picked wild asparagus. The house was spotless and full of character, with a spacious flower-filled front yard perfect for relaxing. As dog lovers, we especially enjoyed the company of their four friendly, petable dogs. Plenty of parking space made things easy, and overall, the stay offered optimal value for money. We’d definitely love to return!

Dreamy stay at the farmhouse. Beautiful old farm house nicely transformed into a little b&b. The animals are an added plus. The hosts are lovely and very attentive. Breakfast was delicious with lovely local produce.

It was a bit further from Rovinj than we thought it would be. Realize it s a farmhouse with all the farm animal noises, which we didn’t mind.

The host/ owners make this place special! They are welcoming and gracious. Allen even gave us a ride into Rovinj. We all watched the soccer/football Euro games at night and drank wine and grappa.

A very quiet traditional and beautiful renovated farmhouse with a very warm welcome. Allen was full of good advice about places to see and where to eat. The room was modern spacious and very comfortable and breakfast was excellent with local specialties every day. A good base to explore Istria. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Every once in awhile you realize how lucky you are to be a traveller. Our stay at Farmhouse Cubani was one of those times. Alan was the most amazing host! We loved spending time with him, meeting the friendly dogs and enjoying his little slice of heaven. Do not hesitate to book if you are looking for a slice of authentic Croatia in a beautiful setting. Alen and his family are very welcoming and accommodating hosts. The Farmhouse is in a beautiful, quiet location surrounded by nature - everything looks as in the pictures or even better. The breakfast was delicious and it was nice to be greeted by the two old farm dogs (very kind, contained animals) every morning. Alen helped us with tips for activities and restaurants in the area and we could even use bikes for free to get to one of the close-by beaches.

It’s not a criticism - we were ok! - but if you are tall, be aware the attic rooms have some low ceilings. And the bathroom is really just a walled-off section of the main room, so don’t expect much privacy from your travelling companion and their ablutions!

Alen and Melissa were the best! Such genuine and accommodating hosts. It felt like staying with family. Nothing was too much trouble. So relaxing - dogs, cats, and sheep everywhere, a peaceful country atmosphere, and yes, we still dream about the sumptuous breakfast provided every morning! It’s the perfect base from which to explore Istria. And not too big - only four rooms. It was also a relief to have lots of space to park after the tight surrounding roads.

The old wooden floors can be quite loud and all the sounds are carried through the whole house, so it might disturb light sleepers. The rural road leading to the estate is a little bumpy - we had no trouble with our car, but I imagine some smaller cars could have some difficulties.

The farmhouse is amazing, beautifully renovated yet still authentic and cozy, peaceful and surrounded by Istrian nature. Rovinj and Bale, a hidden gem worth exploring, are near and easily reached by car. The host is wonderful, very attentive and happy to meet all of your needs, and gives great tips for local dining. Breakfast is excellent, all local (or authentic Croatian :) ) foods, fresh fruits and juices, with good coffee. All around good service!
