The room is so nice, plenty of room for suitcases and all the details have been thought of you and location is great step outside to many restaurants windows double glazed so no noise, highly recommend.

Everything was good. No complaints

Location is just in the old town 5 mins walk from Pile gate. The whole apartment has everything a traveller needs, Ivona is very thoughtful from having beach bags to playing cards.

the property is inside the WALLS, literally as u enter the PILE GATES, smack in the middle, APPT is real nice, the AC works great, the washer a little tricky but instructions helpful, OVERALL great 3 dayer, been damn HOT, the bed is upstairs leave your heavy luggage down below. Shower is good, everything working well.

Very comfortable bed and apartment. And literally just a few steps away from the main street. The host has thought about everything, from the biscuits and chocolates to have with the coffee, to the plasters in the bathroom for those who may have walked a little too much.

Ivona was very gracious and accommodated my request for an early check in. Unit was nice and equipped with basic needs. There are steps to the bedroom which may be an issue for some but not for me. Location is easily accessible from Pile gate.

The only thing we did not like was the internal stairs. I have to say we knew that the steps would be steep from photos and other comments that had been made but we decided to give it a try. This did not mean we did not enjoy our stay, it just made it a little bit difficult when I wanted to get something from upstairs, as my knee played up after walking the wall and I was not comfortable going up and down. It would have been nice to be able to go and sit on the bed upstairs in our down time as there is only a small chair downstairs and the TV is upstairs, so I hesitated going up and down. It was usually down once in the morning and up once at night. Therefore, if you have any mobility issues then this place is not for you. However, I stress that this was a great apartment in a great location.

The location was the best. No steps to the apartment and a stones throw from the Pile gate. The amenities were excellent, supplied us with plenty of tea, coffee, orange juice, biscuits, and some chocolates. Having been on a cruise for 7 days, the washing machine was a bonus and it was great that a few pods were supplied to get our first load going. Plenty of toiletries to get us through our stay if needed. Clear instructions for the washing machine, coffee machine and the safe (which was an added bonus). If they can, they will offer an early checkin and late checkout depending on other guests leaving and arriving, but in our case they were able to help us out. It really made a difference as we came in off a cruise early and our flight did not leave until late. Our host was very responsive and was happy to help in any way they could.

Dubrovnik Hotel Alternatives is right in the centre of Old Town, a very short and FLAT walk from Pile Gate and the bus and taxi drop-off point. You are literally out of your door and you are on Stradun - the main street in the middle of Old Town. The apartment is small but was a perfect size for us as a couple. There is a curved staircase going up to the bedroom and you have to decend if you need the bathroom at night, so that's a consideration if you have mobility issues. Ivona had plenty of information for us right from the start, including allowing an early check-in, and a series of photos showing us how to find the apartment and very clear details on accessing the keys. The fridge was stocked with complimentary water, juices and wine - which was hugely appreciated. We would recommend Dubrovnik Hotel Alternatives to any couples travelling to Dubrovnik.

location was excellent right in the old town, but the room was very quite. cafes at the front door, they even delivered a sandwich we ordered. the room was 2 story great kitchen dining. step outside and you are in the middle of everything which makes it easy to beat the crowds

Amazing location, fantastic host, comfortable bed and everything we needed. It isn’t a huge apartment but just perfect for our time in Dubrovnik

The best location. Right in the heart of it all and on the side without climbing stairs!! However, the apartment does have a set of rather steep stairs inside (photo attached) Not an issue for us but possibly for some. The apartment itself was like a home from home. A lot of effort has gone into thinking of every detail you could possibly need. Having the washing machine/dryer was an absolute bonus. As was the coffee machine. The host Ivona stayed in contact and was extremely helpful. I didn’t want to write it as a negative as the apartment really is perfect. Just a suggestion for a blind or net at the bedroom window, as there isn’t any privacy facing another apartment unless you have the curtains closed.

This place was great. Well set up with everything you may need for your stay covered, even small details you didn't think about. I was able to check in early and was provided with clear directions on how to get to the property, as the location was different than in google maps. The apartment I stayed in was split level with AC up and downstairs and I really appreciated the washing machine after a few weeks travelling.

Excellent location just inside the city walls, perfect for exploring. Very helpful, friendly and responsive host who answered all our questions and even gave us suggestions of places to visit and restaurants. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable short break.

As I saw in other reviews, the steepness of the stairs inside the apartment may be an issue for some. Not a problem for me, but just be aware.

What is there not to like?! Staying here was beyond exceptional. Everything from the communication with the host, to collecting the key, to all of the extra, well thought of small touches - books, board games, washer/dryer, everything you may need in the kitchen, beach towels, etc, etc...!! The location of the apartment is perfect - it's just off the main street in Old Town. I really felt like I was home away from home, close enough to the attractions and local transportation within Dubrovnik all the while away from the crowds.

We loved everything about our stay at Dubrovnik Hotel Alternatives. Our host Ivona was truly exceptional, and the attention to detail in apartment was on point. The washing machine/drier was a great extra to help keep the washing clean given that we are away from home for a number of weeks.
