Nothing is good here

This is not a 5 star hotel, and not “small luxury hotel”. The hotel is old. Everything inside is super cheap. The elevator is the same you can find at low cost city parking. Our room greet us with the smell of canalization. We leave it after 1 second, and unfortunately hotel has another rooms for us. Unfortunately - because leaving the hotel at that time was probably the best idea The standard room (450 euro per night, btw) is so small, that you barely can open your luggage. Our room was in the end of the building, where emergency exit door - which is used all the day by hotel staff. It smashes so hard, that glasses can drop from the table. Door to bathroom can be closed, only when you smash it with all your force Also, from that side of the hotel you can’t open the balcony door at night - because the noise of ventilation there is so loud that you can’t sleep (forget about sea sounds) Everything inside is just so cheap and tasteless, so it feels like hotel maid was asked to design the room (no offense to any hotel maids) The coffee machine is cheapest nespresso machine, with not even original coffee capsules, and coffee cups with some store logos (as you get for free in the supermarket). No still water is provided daily - you need to buy it somewhere. Nice 5 star service 👍 There are no toiletries at all. You have two big shared bottles of soap and shower gel. If you ask for dental kit, there is super cheap plastic toothbrush (unusable) and 1 portion of toothpaste in a plastic bag. There are literally no lights near the bed. You have two small and fixed lamps, that can’t be adjusted and has this horrible daylight lamps (very logical) Everything above can be just my bad taste, so let’s go outside of the room The very first day - all the sunbeds were occupied. “There is nothing we can do” told us the manager How it is even possible, that in “small luxury hotel” there are no sunbeds for all guests?

Careful at dinner in the restaurant its overprised. For example only a sea fish 150€ ?

Sun beds, guest do "reserve" sun beds early in the morning and then don't show up for hours. The Hotel should actively remove "reservation" towles -

The young staff is cheerful. The kitchen is amazing.

Smoking is allowed in the pool area. Almost everyone is puffing..

Breakfast, staff and location. This hotel is exceptional!

Wonderful small luxury hotel with very attentive service. Warm welcome,stylish suite and perfect place to relax. Extraordinary breakfast and extremely friendly service team! Very good JRE restaurant with amazing view. Loved to stay here.

Nothing to criticize!

Breakfast was incredible, an amazing selection of cold and hot.

Location perfetta Staff efficiente

First of all was the friendliness and attention by all the staff which was first class. Breakfast was a pleasure and often lasted well over an hour with no limit in orders for coffee or cooked items. The views from the balconies out to sea were excellent. The rooms were comfortable and well provisioned. For the first visit we had suites which included walk in showers which were exceptional.

I can honestly say I really cannot think of anything that could be improved.

Beautiful as the pictures! The locally sourced dining experience was excellent, and the staff expertly guides you through the menu with local pride for sourcing and preparation. The staff care for the guests. The little beach and deck made easy access to the water and SUP’s and kayaks by the hour allow for coastal exploring. Easy walk to Opatija where we are one dinner.
