Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe internet speed leaves much to be desired. As for the location, the beach was nearby, but most of the way consisted of steps, which could be challenging, especially after spending hours under the sun.
Great value for money. Small clean room with an amazing view. The owner is very friendly, he provided us with the transfer from and to the airport for an additional charge, welcoming drinks, allowed us to borrow a beach umbrella. The room had all the essentials including toiletries, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee.

ArgentinaNothing really
Great location, close to restaurants and stores in Lapad but still in a quiet area. It's also walking distance to the beach. Air conditioning was helpful since it gets pretty hot in summer. The room was well equipped, the kettle and fridge were perfect for a quick breakfast or snack, they left tea and coffee which was very handy. Wifi internet worked perfectly fine during my whole stay. The host was super friendly and has a lot of good recommendations!

FinlandThe balcony was so close to the other one and didn't have a wall or something in between that privacy on the balcony wasn't possible. Also, maybe it is us and that we were tired, but Milo talked quite a lot with us and it felt overwhelming at times.
I liked it overall. Milo (the owner) was super friendly and took us from the airport to the location (for 35€) while telling us about the place. The quality of the room was also great!

PolandThe parking space is uncomfortable, it is not convenient to use car on a daily basis. And there are too many locks an keys, in my humble opinion.
The owners are very friendly. And the room has a HUGE terrace with sunloungers. The room itself is quite cosy, you have everything that you need!

PolandExcellent place, the view from the balcony (and from the bed!) is wonderful, maybe even the best in Dubrovnik.. The room was nice and clean, with all necessary equipment. The owner - really kind, friendly and helpful, like a private guide. It was a great pleasure to be here!

CanadaHow much trouble the owner Milo, took to ensure I had a great stay. He made fantastic restaurant recommendations and he would WhatsApp me maps, bus info and directions. He is a great host who cares about his guests. He picked me up from the airport and on the drive, he gave me lots of helpful information and even stopped so I could take a panoramic photo of the old town. Cosmopolitan House is perched up a hill in Lapad, getting to restaurants takes 5 mins. It involves some step climbing. The number 6 bus comes every 10 mins and takes you into the Old Town. The old Town is beautiful but it is crowded and over priced, I liked eating in Lapad at night instead. My room was large, clean and comfortable. My terrace had a beautiful view. If you would like a uniquely Croatian experience then I fully recommend staying in Cosmopolitan House.

He would go above and beyond to help me with anything I needed and give me useful information. This host has been the best host I have ever met and I would go back to stay here in a heart beat. The view from the room was also amazing.

PeruNot something wrong with the place, if you have mobility problems, bear in mind that you have to climb lot of steps to reach the place.
The family that runs the place was extremely nice and very helpful with recommendations about the Old City, transport (google maps doesn't work for local buses) and places to visit. It's located in Lapad, but is very easy to go to Old City with local buses. In addition to this you have the beach very near (10 minutes walking approx).

Hidden gem within Dubrovnik, Milo was the most attentive and accommodating host you could ask for. His friendliness and care was exceptional and recommendations for beaches and restaurants made our experience even more authentic. There is no question he doesn’t have an answer for !! The views from our room were amazing and the cake Milo’s wife baked for us was delicious 😋 Will be coming back here as soon as we can !! ❤️❤️

United KingdomNothing specific but would be nice to have a kettle in the room for an early morning pick me up, although breakfast is available in the house at a small cost. A fridge was useful but really a room only accommodation.
The Room was clean and bed comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking Lapad Bay in the distance. Location is good as you have options to stay around the Bay area or walk for about 50 minutes to Dubrovnik Old Town. Buses also available. House is high up so a lot of stairs from the Main Road, but there are roads with steep slopes which can get you close to the property. The host Milo was excellent, always available or contactable with very good knowledge of the area. Close to a rating of 10.
