How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much to complain about but I guess the bus stop was a bit far

The room is very bright and clean. The amenities by far exceeded my expectations, which has become rare nowadays. The neighborhood is very calm and a residential area where you have most things close by. It is around 30 min walking from the center but the area is well connected by buses that will take only 15min. Not to forget the host was very friendly and the instructions were very clear. I highly recommend especially if you are a solo traveler looking for peace and quiet in a not too far area.

Very friendly host who left for us a book with recommendations and tips. The room was bright, comfortable and really clean! Uber to the city centre costs 7-8€ and it’s worth it! The area is calm and quiet, and you have cheap options for meals, also you have supermarkets, bakeries and a pharmacy.

the location is not really that close to the center, probably 30min walk. but we had a car anyway.
the room is very clean and with complete amenities inside! the bed is really comfortable. they even have free coffee, water, snacks and netflix! the jnstructions are very clear too and they respond quickly in case u have questions.

It was very clean, easy to find and accessible with busses. It had a clean and good bathroom. The bed was comfortable and lots of pillows were available. The room had AC and a little fridge. The lady was very kind and did everything possible to let us check-in before time (11AM). We had the possibility to leave our luggage long after check-out.

Had an amazing stay ! The check-in process was smooth and welcoming and the room had perfect and very clean amenities, everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location is great too, just 10 minutes from the city center. Highly recommend ! I’ll definitely comeback if I have the chance !

bring earplugs because you can hear people in other rooms do the deed or being loud in general

If I were to say that I was simply satisfied with my stay at Coloured Rooms, I would be greatly underestimating my experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist and make my stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the room was flawless, and the amenities far exceeded my expectations. The comfort of the bed and the quality of the sheets provided me with perfect sleep, while the design and atmosphere of the room elevated my entire stay to a whole new level. The location of the property was perfect – situated in a quiet yet easily accessible part of the city, which allowed me to relax, with possibility to easily explore all that the city has to offer. Additionally, the host arranged the most convenient and affordable transfer to the airport in a top-of-the-line Mercedes van, making me feel like a rock star. In short, Coloured Rooms offers far more than just a place to stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Split.

None surprisingly
The property was extensively cleaned and well maintained. Additionally, It was in a quiet place and everything was there from toilet paper to plastic bags , coffee, grill you name it! Beds were also very comfortable and the room was well air conditioned overall it was a memorable stay and I would recommend it to anyone!

The room was bright and cheery, spacious, clean and very comfortable, excellent air conditioning. We were able to walk to the Diocletian's Palace from the room. Our host was very very helpful, greeted us, spent quite a bit of time with us on arrival explaining what facilities etc were nearby, how to get to various attractions and arranged a taxi to take us to the port on the morning of our departure. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

A decent walk, roughly 30 minutes from the beaches and good restaurants and is mostly uphill.

Room for 2 persons with a double bed is really nice. It has everything you need if you dont plan to cook. It is very clean and owner is a very nice lady who will welcome you and help you with everything. If you are with a car you can always find some free public space in front of the building. Location is also great because the center is not far and the neiberhood is quiet.
