Terrific hotel by the seaside with an amazing family friendly pool. The hotel guests are delighted in a well rounded brunch and dinner that brings a local and flavorful experience. The hotel staff were great, guiding us to the local bus route,visiting the beautiful city with ease. Also walking distance to nice attractions and sightseeing. I wish I would have stayed longer.

Not offering drinking water at dinner in the buffet. The food was very salty and you had to buy water in an "all inclusive buffet" if you want to drink water with the food. One of the workers at the restaurent didnot even accept filling our kid's water bottle saying that they dont offer water at dinner. That was really not friendly, unprofessional and below the standards. I dont understand this idea by the restaurent although the price per night for the hotel was not cheap.

Very friendly and professional reception who tried their best to offer help, the view is amazing with very good facilities for families (pool, beach, maro's world). It was fun to stay at sunny hotel!

Are rooms were above the delivery area. From 5.30 in the morning good being delivered I understand deliveries have to be done but that early and no consideration for the guest. Maybe at ask them to be not as noisy? Rooms 4071 and 4072

The only issue was that drinks were not served during dinner, so we had to buy drinks, including water.

Maro World was very enjoyable for the children; they had numerous activities throughout the day. The swimming facilities at the hotel were also very good, and the kids didn't want to leave the swimming area. Breakfast and dinner were also pleasant.

The room was pretty small and the pillows weren't comfy.

All of the staff were brilliant, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful! The kids entertainment was excellent, it had everything you could need to entertain kids of all ages. The food was good, lots of variety and different each night.

As mentioned by some of the other reviewers, there was nowhere to get water from after 1pm which was a bit annoying in 35 degree heat. We spent a lot of money on bottled water! Drinks at the hotel were a little pricey.

We stayed at Sunny Valamar for four nights as part of our summer holiday across Croatia. The hotel was a good choice if you are a family on a bit of a budget. The rooms were clean and comfortable (as a family of five, we had two interconnecting rooms) and were clean and tidy, if a little basic. The food was good (the breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was good, if a little repetitive) The pool area was fantastic and there was often plenty of space to find loungers . The extended facilities were good with a lovely bar area at a sister hotel about three minutes walk away. Maro World is an excellent resource and very welcome when you want to get children out of the Croatian heat for an hour or so. Staff were excellent and we were greeted warmly on ever occasion.

The property isn’t very attractive and possibly needs a little tlc in some areas soon. The restaurant felt chaotic and some of the food was a little cold - just not my cup of tea but I appreciate the self service style suits many.

We only stayed one night at the hotel and it was all perfectly nice. Just a short taxi ride to the old town, the staff were helpful, the bedrooms were basic yet functional, the pool area was great especially in the August heat, easy access to a beach and a restaurant - all possibly more suited to families with younger children.

The waiters and waitresses are not trained enough. Every day there are staff who dropped knives and forks around the guests.

We had a room on the ground floor and we were totally missing dryer for wet clothes. Although the pool was nice there was not possible to find a place as many guest "reserve" the sun loungers with their towels and were simply not there.

The location of the hotel was very good. The bus stop was near by. We had half board and we were satisfied with the food offer. The pool was very good, kids enjoyed it.

Their dinner time closes at 9:00 PM. I think considering the summer rush and busy Dubrovnik nightlife, they should have stretched it until 10 PM at least in the peak season. The pool towels are not free; they charge 2 euros for rent, and the towels were all old and worn out.

We had two adjacent rooms with a door in between, which was lovely. The breakfast had a good spread with live counters for various egg varieties. The location is great; the pool is large and clean, with a separate kids' pool featuring slides. Copacabana Beach is just a 5-minute walk down the poolside. The Beach is lovely, more like a secluded beach for all the Valamar hotels in the Babin Kuk area. Not very crowded, and there are also some water sports activities available. Beautiful views from the pool and the beach. Bus no. 6, from a nearby bus stop, runs every 10 minutes and takes you to the Old Town (Pile) in 10 minutes. This service runs until 1:00 am, a good way to enjoy the Dubrovnik nightlife.

Had to ask for fresh towels.

Very good value for money including stay + food and an excellent playground. Friendly and efficient people. Very good food always served fresh and with a variety of choices. Comfortable rooms. Very good pool. Breakfast until 01:00pm! Amazing place for kids with a huge playground and cozy bar with live music for the parents.
