Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAmazing apartment that was very modern. Everything was cleaned spotlessly. There was air conditioning in the kitchen space. Parking on the property. The balcony was beautiful, surrounded by lots of flowers and a big space.

PortugalOutstanding place! We have travelled to many places as a couple, and stayed in a variety of accomodations already. But this was by far our favorite spot! A true pearl in the Adriatic. Wake up with the best view, the local village is a delight, and our guest Miss Rina, a lovely and remarkable person. Definitely we'll return. Hvar and Casa Fortuna have a special place in our hearts and in our agenda! Sara and Tiago Portugal

CanadaEverything was perfect. The cleanest place we have ever stayed!
Everything! The view, the place, and especially the HOST! Rina gave us a bottle of wine, made recommendations, and even helped us BBQ the Croatian way on grape wood! Can’t say enough positive things!

SlovakiaThe apartment was beautiful and clean, the terrace was huge with a beautiful view of the sea. It is a very peaceful town, without mass tourism. The apartment is as it can be seen in the photos. Care in the smallest details. Rina is a caring housewife. The air conditioner worked as it should. We had everything we needed there.

NetherlandsIt is a still developing area, so not a full comfort neighborhood with many options. It is suggested to get plenty of groceries before arrival.
Super friendly owners, beautiful, modern and clean apartment with everything you need. The village has amazing wines (from the owner or local wineries in the main season), a beautiful beach and a restaurant. 30 minutes drive from the main town or from the ferry. Very secluded and nice! The owners are absolutely lovely and helpful.

GermanyWe fell in love with Casa Fortuna, Sveta Nedelija and island Hvar. If you are looking for peace, beautiful landscape and tranquility, this is the perfect place. You should not feel uncomfortable though to drive narrow streets or in narrow tunnel, for us this was part of the charme of this part of Hvar. Rina is a warmhearted host making sure you don’t miss anything. The apartment is very well equipped and of high standard. We slept like stones, so relaxing. Even during rainfall we could sit on the terrace, as there is a small roof. We wish we could have stayed longer and will plan to come back

SloveniaNot a negative, just mind that there is a steep path from the beach to the apartment. Beds could be a little bigger, but they are comfortable.
Very nice apartment with amazing terrace set in a beautiful garden (with olive trees and oleander bushes) and stunning sea views. You really have a constant feeling that you are vacationing on an adriatic island. Functional kitchen with all of the supplies (oil, vinegar, salt, spices, coffee) and utensils. Spotlessly clean, and a friendly and hospitable host.

United KingdomRina, the owner, was lovely and we loved the flat. She messaged right away to say it was far away in a quiet village but we loved that. The walks, beaches and vineyard cellar nearby were amazing. The patio was a highlight of this really well equipped comfortable apartment.

SlovakiaLocation: Sveta Nedelja is a small, isolated place on the island of Hvar within 40min driving distance from Stari Grad. Narrow winding roads and a tiny tunnel will get you to Your destination. A small grocery store, a fruit and vegetable stand, 2 restaurants, marina and a couple of houses, that’s it! If You are looking for a secluded picturesque vacation, Casa Fortuna won't disappoint! The views are beautiful, and the water is crystal clear (Even in the marina!) You can choose from several (beautiful) beaches nearby or opt for some hidden treasures if You are willing to drive. Accommodation: The property consists of two appartements. We had the pleasure of being accommodated in the smaller of the two, which was perfectly suited for a couple. Both have a wonderful view at the lovely garden, the nearby marina and the sea. The appartement is completely renovated, tastefully and simply decorated. Everything is new and clean. Spotless Clean! We had a great stay, and I cannot recommend Casa Fortuna enough! Host: Rina is a sincere, hardworking, whole-hearted and genuine person. Her travel instructions were clear, easy to follow and on the point. After our trouble enroute we arrived at Casa Fortuna after midnight where Rina was patiently waiting for us. During our stay she was giving us her honest opinions on places to see, directions, etc. But we also engaged in friendly and fun discussions! Rina is a great host (a great gardener and great cook!)! Other: Croatia has always been, like for many others, my favorite travel destination. The people, the food, the see... All giving you the feeling that you've come home. However there have been many reports lately how Croatia is becoming a tourist trap. High prices, mediocre quality of food and services, ignorance of the personnel. While this might be more and more true, I have still high hopes for Croatia. Until lovely people like Rina exist and they sincerely welcome You to their homes, there is still hope.
