Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing. important to know there are stairs
Lovely clean room close to the ferry. The staff are excellent helping with luggage. The breakfast is in the adjoining hotel entrance one lane over.

a lot of steps up and down to access our room in next road. not much fresh air or daylight in room.

Short walking distance from the ferry port. Breakfast included. Staff informed in advance they will be waiting for us when we arrive by ferry to help with the luggage.

Not much natural light so I feel like it might be a little oppressive for longer than one or two nights.
Lovely little room, very central, comfortable for a one night stay. Delicious breakfast at the accompanying hotel just around the corner. Friendly staff and free beach towels. High quality toiletries, comfortable bed. Only a few minutes walk from the ferry.

My wife and I loved our stay! They met us at the ferry and carried my wife’s bag (not light) to the hotel and held our bags for us until check in. They also let us borrow beach towels and had great recommendations on food and activities. The breakfast was amazing as well with excellent service!

Cons were that the room is pretty small (which isn't a huge deal because you don't travel to a beautiful place like Hvar to hang in your room) but you do start to feel like you're crawling on top of whomever you're staying with so I think it's worth considering before you book. Also, there aren't really any windows in this room. There is a tiny window on the door but you can't open the curtain unless you want dozens of people looking right into your bed (and the mess you made in your tiny room) and the view only looks across at a stone wall
Our stay here was great! It's a cute/quaint little room off a steep staircase. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was good. We're happy we stayed here.

The mini fridge made noise on and off throughout our stay.
Clean and modern finish. Comfy bed. Good selection at breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff that met us at the port and checked us in early. Conveniently close to port and restaurants.

Lovely staff, the room was very clean and a great breakfast. Helpful instructions before we arrived and their help with the luggage as there are quite a few steps which is normal for Hvar! The room was close to the port and right in the heart of Hvar.

Really easy to get it from the ferry and then central as well to get into town. Comfy bed and nice modern bathroom. They have beach towels from the main reception which was really convenient and gave us info and a map on what we could do. Breakfast was okay but a bit slow.

Beautiful room in the heart of Hvar, close to the marina (and ferries arrival) and to the heart of the village. The room is part of the Heritage hotel and shares its facilities, but is located two streets away. This is not a problem since the staff is extremely helpful with the luggage and any other issue: honestly, very grateful for that. The breakfast is served in a beautiful patio in the shadow: nice, good and cozy. I strongly recommend this place!

Like most of Hvar, it is up some steps, if you inform the hotel before hand they will be happy to help move luggage to the room. -Breakfast in the hotel was lovely -Staff were all very friendly and welcoming -Air con in the room worked great -Shower and bathroom were good.

Everthing was perfect
This is an individual room, next to the hotel, but has it's own front door, good air con, comfy room and bed with an ensuite. Breakfast is served in the hotel, which is a 3 minute walk from your room. Good internet connection in the room and hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and will carry your bags up to the room, as there are quite a few steps. Breakfast was good with a choice of hot and cold options, meats, cheeses, salad etc and will cook for you eggs, omelets, scambled eggs etc, also coffee and juices. The room is in a perfect location, 5 minutes from the harbour and ferry, and easy walking distance from anywhere. Lots of dining options again withing easy walking distance.

I believe there was a terrace to sit at but it wasn't convenient from the location of the room which was at a different location.

Great location in the centre of town, close to restaurants (the Mediterranean was recommended and fantastic). The owner couldn’t do enough for us and was super helpful and accommodating - thank you. Room was comfortable with a great shower and really well equipped. Perfectly located in Hvar.

The stairs, and lack of clear directions. The staff should really tell you to call from the bottom of the stairs and pick you up. We had the bed set up the wrong way but the staff sorted this quickly.
The room is nice and well located for the port and old town. staff are happy to help with bags (do accept the offer!). Nice shower, quiet, small but fine for a day. Breakfast was amazing - freshly cooked to order. Great coffee. Charming street.
