Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA stunning hotel in a beautiful peaceful and tranquil setting. It was everything we hoped for and we definitely will be returning! Breakfast was fabulous and the hotel was so clean and smelt amazing! We were very grateful to receive a free upgrade to the Suite, a lovely treat for our first stay and visit to Croatia. Such comfortable rooms with everything we needed. Wonderful helpful staff too, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, close to the airport and Dubrovnik (by boat, bus or taxi). Large breakfast buffet with gluten free options, various restaurants close by. Large twin room with balcony and sea view. Welcoming staff throughout. Pool at sister hotel also welcomed

IrelandNot much to complain about to be honest, TV in the room was a bit hit and miss with the signal, which was fixed when mentioned. There is no Gym or spa in this hotel and you need to use these facilities at the sister hotel which is a short walk.
The rooms were very clean with a comfortable large bed, a balcony, great shower and AC in the room. Rooms also cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of food that was constantanly replenished. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the outside terrace which was calm and peaceful. In the evenings there are 2 excellent local restuarants within the complex area. The staff at reception and breakfast were excellent, all very friendly and helpful to all our needs. We have stayed in this hotel before and hope to do so again the future, The perfect location to unwind and relax, what a gem!

United StatesWe loved everything!
This was our 3rd visit to the Maistra Mlini Hotel and we absolutely love it here. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone who wants to visit Dubrovnik but would like to escape the masses of people who converge on the city over the summer. It is located about 15 minutes from Old town Dubrovnik by car, taxi, and bus but I highly recommend taking the ferry that picks you up from the port and takes you straight to old town. It is an experience in itself. However, the main thing we love about the hotel is the staff. We had a car accident when a local sideswiped our car in the hotel parking lot—which we saw from our balcony. The staff went into action, located the driver, made him come to the hotel the next day, arranged for us to get an estimate on our damages, arranged for us to go with the driver to the insurance company which then took pictures to process our claim. We were only to spend one night, however, the whole process took all day so they graciously extended our stay giving us a fantastic discount on the second night, which was a major Croatian holiday where they could have sold our room for twice what we paid. The hotel is our mainstay location whenever we come to Dubrovnik and everyone should try it. Altogether, it is as good as all the 5 star hotels we have stayed at in Dubrovnik (Argentina, Excelsior).

In all my years of visting many hotels, I have never come across such polite, attentive staff who were very genuine. I cannot commend them enough. Thank you !

United KingdomI would like the sunbeds at the beach to be complimentary for hotel guests.
This was our 2nd visit to the hotel. We stayed here last year and loved it so much that we booked again! On check in, the staff acknowledged that we had stayed before, they upgraded us and a bottle of wine was waiting for us in our room - a lovely touch! The staff, location, food, accommodation and atmosphere in this hotel are all exceptional. This year the sister hotel, Asterea was open. We really enjoyed using the facilities here. The spa area, especially the indoor pool was great. We also loved the terrace bar where we often had drinks and some lovely bar snacks.

Friendly staff. Very clean and interiors finished to a very good standard. Very spacious suite for family of three. Good location with easy access to the various beaches and fair walking distance to other restaurants/bars.
