Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineConsidering the large number of families with children, it would be appropriate to ban smoking on the terrace during breakfast and dinner.
I stayed here with my son and we were absolutely delighted! The room was spacious, clean, with a wonderful sea view – thank you so much for that! The staff were friendly and always ready to help. When we arrived late, after 9 pm, following a long and tiring journey to the island of Brač, the restaurant staff kindly organized a quick dinner for us – many thanks for this! We spent most of our time by the sea, swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Zlatni Rat and enjoying the peace and beauty of the island. We are not new to the Adriatic, but here we truly felt the unique advantages of the island – the climate brings a pleasant coolness even in August, making the stay even more comfortable. Bol is the perfect place to fully enjoy the taste of Adriatic cuisine in local restaurants. With half board, having breakfast and dinner at the hotel and lunch in the charming local eateries turned into a real gastronomic celebration. It was so wonderful that we didn’t want to go back home.

United KingdomMinor things, like the table tennis bats were in bad condition. The building itself is functional but not beautiful or interesting architecturally - apart from the fact that once you've checked in, you don't pass the reception until you leave, which makes you feel enclosed.
Loved the restaurant, and the hotel's proximity to the beach. The pool was great and the staff cleaning rooms and in the restaurant in particular were very friendly. Really enjoyed the view of the sea at meals from the terrace - if you're able to get a table! The setting in amongst pine trees is beautiful.

United KingdomHad to buy water for dinner, should atleast provide water like they do for breakfast. It would have been a good option to have some free drinks for dinner.
The hotel was very close to the Zatni Rat beach and 15-20 min walk from Bol harbour. Hôtel and hotel grounds were really well maintained, size of the room was very good and the hotel staff were very helpful with our queries for boat tours. The spread at breakfast and dinner was very good, for those considering taking half board. We especially like the spread of salads for dinner and assortment of fresh fruits for both breakfast and dinner. There was live music on most days during / after dinner. The hotel also provides beach towels for pool or beach. The area around the hotel is very nice with walkway hugging the shoreline and lined with ice cream shops, beach bar restaurants and souvenir shops

MontenegroCharging water during the dinner was quite strange and unusual. Also, hotel has its own parking lot that charges, which is not a problem. However, it would have been professional if someone had warned us about it

SerbiaThe parking should be free of charge for the hotel guests. Because it's not a garage but it's a field between olives threes with lot of dust and rocks. The restaurant is often overcrowded with people.
The food is amazing. Location of hotel is exceptional.

Italythe "eating" area is messy: in particular you have just 2 hours for the dinner and, elrelated to the amount of people, it's hard to eat in calm.
the hotel is close to the sea. you can just cross the footpath and jump into the stunning sea. I'm not used to this huge and a little messy hotel but it was all always clean.

SloveniaStaff could be more friendly - you don’t need to tell people when they come for a cup of coffee at 6:30am that breakfast starts at 7:00am - they know that! They just happened to woke up early and just want a cup of coffee, don’t ruin their day with your attitude.

ItalyThe only small downside was that the room felt a bit small,
We really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Elaphusa. The location is perfect, close to Zlatni Rat beach, and the facilities are excellent. The buffet breakfast and dinner were amazing with plenty of variety and great quality. but overall the experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend and return!

Ukraine- Pool. This was expected disappointment. It was rather small, and despite the “no balls in the pool” rule, many people played with them and occupied a huge amount of space. There were also lots of uncontrolled children. Another issue is that towels are not available during the day and you have to take them either early in the morning or in the evening.
+++++ Location. The hotel is set in a pine forest along the walking path to Golden Horn, just 50 meters from the sea. ++++ Breakfast. We enjoyed the variety and quality of food at breakfast — everything we tried was tasty. Tip: the last hour of breakfast gets crowded, so it’s better to come earlier. ++ Room. The room was nice, with a great bed and comfortable mattress. I wouldn’t say it was spotless, but overall it was fine.

United KingdomThe level of customer service was mixed, some of the staff were quite grumpy - no smile when speaking to bar staff etc, we didn’t get a welcome when we arrived in the hotel only a ‘your room isn’t ready yet’ when we arrived. No one explained the hotel when we arrived and the facilities etc. Was told by one bar member at the pool to move my sunbed so he could walk past (there was many other ways to walk around without me moving) we had no soap in the hotel room which we had to ask for three times before any was given to us.
Very clean and spacious - the activity team were all lovely and enjoyed the daily aqua aerobics and book able Yoga classes

United KingdomNothing. Our 3rd time in Croatia and we will always choose to stay in a Bluesun Hotel.
Not our first stay with Bluesun Hotel chains but our first time in Bol staying in Hotel Elaphusa. Very nice hotel within a walking distance to Zlanti Rat. Stunning views day and night and a very short walk to the centre of Bol ( under lots of pine trees - helpful in hot weather) ) Highly recommend staying here and we hope to be back one day.

SwedenRooms were a bit too basic for the price charged, unless you are using the amenities it felt a bit expensive for the average rooms but of course you pay for the location :)
Location is good , it’s on the promenade with less than or around a km walk to Zlatni rat beach. Lots of stores and restaurants on the Promenade.. Short drive from ferry point at Bol. Has a nice outdoor pool. Breakfast had a nice spread with lots of variety.
