I have been coming to the Makarska Riviera for over 30 years, and I can honestly say that Vila Basca is the best of the best you can experience on this part of the coast. The property is simply stunning—an authentic stone house beautifully decorated with wood accents, full of character and charm. Its location is exceptional: just steps away from the beach and marina, and a lovely walk from nearby Brela. What truly makes this place unforgettable are the hosts, Ana and Petar. Their warmth and hospitality go far beyond expectations—they make you feel not just welcome, but truly at home. If I could give this property 100 out of 10, I absolutely would. Vila Basca is a rare gem, and I feel so happy and grateful to have discovered it.

The location is excellent—close to restaurants and the beach yet peaceful, with a beautiful, spacious, like-new bedroom and bathroom, exceptionally clean; Petar and his family were incredibly welcoming, and the delightful breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, antipasto, and made-to-order eggs was a wonderful surprise!

Immaculate property, cared for with pride. Terrific genuine hospitality. Host clearly cares about his guests' experience at the villa and in Baška Voda. He happily made recommendations, dinner reservations, lent us beach towels, and surely would have tried to help had we asked for anything else. Breakfast was great. Delicious eggs made to order, fresh fruit, bread, meats, juice, coffee... All good. Location is great, convenient to everything. Nice beach, shops and restaurants in immediate vicinity plus Brela's offerings around 15 minutes walk away. Would definitely return.

The place isn't easy to find or locate. We were coming from Dubrovnik using a bus, when we got off - we initially thought we were in a completely different area. After a little while, we managed to find our path and located the spot.

Petar (host/owner) is an exceptional human-being, absolutely extra-ordinary. His attention to detail, going an extra mile and willingly/readily to assist at all times was absolutely exceptional. I will recommend his place for years to come. Located within a minute walk (or less) to the main street which all sorts of restaurants etc. The beach is within a 2mins walk. Great place!

Nothing, we liked everything!

We felt very comfortable at Villa Basca and really enjoyed our stay! The hotel has been recently renovated and is very nicely located, close to the main street with many restaurants and bars as well as the two beaches. The beaches are only 200 meters from the hotel! The hotel staff was very nice, the breakfast very tasty and the room very nice and clean. Thank you for the nice stay!

Very nice rooms and location is just perfect. Just few steps from beach and restaurants, but at a same time perfectly quiet to enjoy a book on a balcony. Never had such a welcomed feeling than at Villa Basca. Definitely worth a stay.

The room was cozy and clean. The location was close to shops and the beach. The staff was considerate and friendly. There were parking spaces, which were a little difficult to find on Google Maps, but the owner immediately came to advise how to find the right place.

The hotel was perfect. Baska Voda itself would be very lovely but it is really packed. We were surprised by the sheer amount of people there. The beaches are packed to the square inch, on our last night we circled all the restaurants for an hour to find an empty table. Off season seems to be a better choice there ..

Lovely place, very clean, great breakfast, all staff was more than nice and helpful, big bathrooms and very comfy beds. Parkin in the back, which is necessary in Baska Voda. We had a very nice stay.
