How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Pool area very bad for the level of the hotel. Damaged ceramics in the pool. Bad smell at the pool. Very damaged deck chairs on the terrace by the pool. Also towels in very bad condition in the room. Torned.

Verified reviewThis is a fantastic high end hotel right beside the pier for the catamaran. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the food is exceptional and the breakfast was incredible. On a final note the staff are extremely helpful in particular Ratko on reception was brilliant throughout my whole stay.

It all started when we arrived. We are a spritely mid 70s couple and although someone showed us into the car park there was no offer to help with the baggage or even where the entrance was. They do offer 15% off the first dinner(thank goodness) but the waiter convrniently forgot. In the room there is a kettle but only 2 sachets of tea. If you want coffee you are meant to buy it downstairs. The safe in our room is in such a dark place you need a torch to find it. Breakfast service is no better! They do not come to ask what cooked items you would like (no menu) and coffee and tea you need to be patient. No fruit salad and several items small offer and not labelled. Not impressed when waiter cleaned tables with his hands-no cloth or cleaner Staff training leaves a lot to be desired.

Verified reviewGreat central location with a nice sea view room and lovely balcony to relax and enjoy your drink in the evening. A bit old fashioned style rooms but comfy as they are heritage hotel. Breakfast had plenty of options and you can have it in your room / balcony too which we did and loved it looking out at sea.
As some people mentioned here in reviews, air con is a bit laud and the pool gets early shade so not really much to it in afternoon. I found receptionist awkward and not welcoming with a bit of attitude . The rest of the staff were great and helpful.

Verified reviewFriendly staff, beautiful hotel. Check in and check out was easy and smooth. After midnight is quiet, so nice to have balcony doors open, if you don't like air condition. Keep in mind though that if on the first floor, "sea view" will be most probably big boats parked in front, that looks directly into the room. From the 5 nights we had only one day free view, not a big issue, but good to know in case you expect this. Hotel met my expectations.

Verified reviewWe stayed at Arbiana Heritage Hotel for 2 nights (14–16 July) during a last-minute work trip to Rab for a photo shoot — and brought the whole family, including our dog. It turned out to be an absolute gem! ✅ What we loved: Location: Perfect! Right in the heart of the old town, yet quiet. The sea is just steps away, and the sunset views from the terrace were magical. Room: Elegant, spotless, and beautifully furnished. We felt like royalty. Breakfast: One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had — fresh, local ingredients and a lovely setting. Service: Warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They accommodated our sudden work plans and even made our dog feel like a guest. We weren’t planning a family getaway, but Arbiana turned it into an unexpected mini-vacation. Highly recommend — not just for work travelers, but for anyone looking to relax in style on Rab.

Verified reviewThe staff were exceptionally kind, attentive and always smiling. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Breakfast was also excellent, upon our arrival, the breakfast staff immediately asked what type of coffee we would prefer. We also had the opportunity to try the hotel restaurant for dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed; the food was delicious. Both breakfast and dinner were served in the garden, which created a very charming and pleasant atmosphere
