How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We loved our stay: the host was warm and welcoming; the unit is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We found the location an easy walk to old town, parking was great and the neighbourhood quiet. Would definitely return here again.

Some stray dogs during the walk, they’re harmless but for those afraid of dogs it could be an issue. The cost was high also really compared to others, we were late with reservation so it made sense.
Very clean, hospitable owners, and central. We got recommendations that were on point, very cute apartment. The coffee was a big plus! Much needed.

Very warm welcome (fruit and wine were waiting for us upon arrival, many thanks for it :) ), nice and friendly hosts, the room is comfortable and clean. The car was parked in a closed yard.

We had issues with the shower not being hot. Hosts fixed the switch, but the boiler itself went cool quickly. Perhaps the boiler/thermostat needs adjusting.
Comfortable bed, nicely decorated. Helpful hosts. Good location with a car, with parking for medium-small car.

Branka is very kind and a perfect host of the beautiful, cozy and clean apartment. It‘s just a short 10 minutes walk to the beautiful center of Rovinj and it‘s easy to go elsewhere by car which you could park safely at the apartment. WiFi is working properly, I had to do some videocalls during my stay which was not an issue. If I would come back to Rovinj I would choose this accomodation again.

Bed mattress not bad. My one big recommendation is for bed sheets that fit the bed. This is our 5th place we have stayed in on this trip and all have had single/twin bed sheets on double/queen beds.
In a fairly quiet residential neighborhood. Fairly easy walk into main area. Great pizzaria Orlando 5min walk away. Safe secure parking right out front. Suite was big enough to live in and well equipped. Lots of hot water and pressure. Our host Branka is lovely. Greeted us with wine and fruit and lots of great coffee pods!

Super nice studio. Roomy enough for a few nights. Very clean, has everything you need. A 10 minute walk to the old town. Very nice host. Highly recommend!

the shower was small for a tall man. Other than that tiny detail - every other detail was just what we hoped for.
The room was exactly as described. The location was convenient to all the attractions. Only a pleasant ten minute walk to the downtown shops, restaurants and marina. Branka , the owner is delightful and full of good tips and suggestions

No issues whatsoever. Will visit again!
Location was absolutely superb! Just a lovely 10 min walk away from the city center! Reserved parking spot was also available which was very convenient. Host is a sweetheart who was very kind and explained everything about the place and Rovinj. All in all, stay was very comfortable.

Some utensils missing (large knife, peeler,...) and and no freezer.
Very clean, neat apartment. Everything looks like new and it esthetic and moderen. The location is very good, 10 min walk to the centre of the city, 5 min to the Borik beach with car. Many additional equipment in the apartment (iron, hair drier, toaster, coffee machine,... ).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spotlessly clean, comfortable and delightfully decorated suite. We loved the location, a quiet, leafy neighbourhood just a short and pleasant walk to the town centre, and appreciated the suite's extra ameneties: off-street parking, a private entrance and outdoor sitting area. Host Branka was most welcoming and gracious. Nothing has been overlooked in this suite, certainly one of the nicest we have experienced in our travels.

It was a great location for 3 days. A 15 minute walk into Rovinj and day trips to Pula, Motovun, a truffle hunt and much more. Parking for our rental car was important. Very clean bright cheery room. Hostess was helpful, answered any messages right away and actually helped us by calling a restaurant that we wanted to go to and made the reservation for us.

All was perfect
Excellent place, very clean, and the host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotless and we received welcome local vine and fruits. There is safe parking for motorbike right in front of the apartment. The walk to town was very picturesque and wasn't long al all. Hopefully, we can come back there again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
