How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was perfect
The location is simply perfect, close to restaurants and monuments, its owner was very friendly and even received us before in his apartments, we slept excellent and enjoyed the stay very much.

The apartment was super big and spacious and really well equipped with everything you need! At the edge of old town and far enough away from all the visitors but close to any shops and attractions that you would want to visit. Highly recommended! Keys were provided in a lock box for easy access whenever you need the apartment! Really safe building and a great stay! Highly recommended!

Despite info from Booking.com that somebody should meet us and give the keys, nobody was there. Thanks to neighbors of host that help us to connect with host.

Lovely apartment next to the city walls in the old town. Excellent location - a short distance to all the major sites and cafes/restaurants etc, but very quiet. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything needed for my stay. Communication with the manager regarding the checkin/lock box was also very good.

The shower doesn’t drain properly and leaks quite a bit. The freezer door doesn’t close but everything else was fine and we enjoyed the place.
Excellent location right in the old town. The apartment was roomy and clean. Check-in was a breeze.

This apartment was great. Very clean and in a fantastic location next to seagate in the old city. We had lots of space to lay things out and move around. The kitchenette was handy too. The apartment was a 30 minute walk from the bus station. Access upon arrival was very easy.

It would be nice if laundry liquid was also provided for the washing machine. Bathroom floors got wet easily as water would leak from the glass side panels on all sides.
Booked this apartment for two nights for two people. The place was spacious, beds were comfortable with two separate quilts, great air conditioning, and superb location right in the centre on a quiet street. Kitchen was well equipped and they also provided complimentary water and juice in the fridge. There was also a washing machine and drying rack.

The house keeping could be much better. When the sofa bed was pulled out it was not clean . The utensil draw separation container had something spilled in it. Rugs kind of funky.
Location was ideal ! It was very close to the bus stop to the walled city. It was very nice to have a washing machine.

Adding a shower caddy to keep shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner will be very helpful for future guests.
Location! Location! Location! Check-in process was easy. The host was responsive and even though we didn't meet in person, it worked out very well due to his easy prompt response and detailed instructions

Parking outside the wall was a challenge. When actually found a spot, it was a 3 hr max spot. We ended up going to a parking garage about 15 minutes walk away. Additionally, there is hardly any hot water for showers. I had less than 20 seconds hot water, and my wife ended up w a freezing cold shower.
Nice, clean apartment in a great location. Just inside the wall to old town. Perfect walking distance to everything. Great amenities too. Loved that there was a washer and that the other owner left things like coffee and water there as well.

The small sized freezer

Nice location and the everything was close including the bus stop to the airport. The apartment had everything that is needed and the host was super nice. We were travelling with a kid and had to check in late. Also Zadar’s supermarkets are closed on Sundays and we needed milk for the kid and the host made sure even if it’s late to drop it down the previous night without a bit of hesitation.
