How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very close to the airport. Nice and clean apartment quite and walking distance to the pub and pizzeria and store.

We only stayed for one night, to be close to the airport on our last night in Croatia, but we wish we could have stayed for longer. It was a lovely clean and modern apartment in a peaceful area and we couldn't fault it in any way. Being close to the airport there is occasional aircraft noise but it didn't bother us at all.

We stayed here for the last night of our trip and it was a perfect pick. Peaceful place. Nice view from the balcony. 2 km from Dubrovnik airport - no rush and no stress.

My friend had a lot of allergy symptoms. If you're allergic to nature, then it's probably better to stay in Dubrovnik. (She also had a lot of allergies in Cavtat.)
Spacious, charming apartment in a quiet location that's only a few minutes from the airport! The apartment is a quarter mile from the town center, where a folklore performance (with music and dance) takes place every Sunday at 11:15 AM. A bit past the town center, there's a grocery store where you can get burek and other snacks. And a bit past that, there's a place where you can book tastings of local food and drink. If you're looking for rest and relaxation before your flight, this is a good choice. If you want tourist activities and lots of restaurants, this is probably not the place for you. Note that Cavtat is 10 minutes (and a 15-euro Uber ride) away. An Uber ride to the airport also costs 15 euros.

Petra was awesome, Dad picked us from bus stop, as we were late. The apartment was awesome, all facilities were beyond expected. It was spacious, clean and loaction was excellent. Right near airport, which is what we wanted. Also transfer to the airport was arranged

Only one small thing. Our prebooked driver struggled to find the stay so took a scenic route to get here though the rest of our party, arriving by Uber, found it easily. It was probably just our driver on the day, the address was clearly on the building. A friendly suggestion to place a sign showing 'Apartment Amalija' so travellers know for sure they've arrived at the right place.
The hosts are warm and friendly, offering helpful suggestions on places to eat, visit or get supplies. They also gave us really helpful advice on airport check in. The modern amenities are stylish, comfortable and high spec. We chose this place because it's close to the airport and offered space for two couples. We got so much more from the apartment and quiet village surroundings, even running into a fellow Kiwi while walking to the local shops.

The apartment is comfortably located near the airport and only a few minutes drive from Cervat and 18 km from Dubrovnik. The family who owns and runs the property we’re superb hosts who made themselves available if needed. Communication with the proprietor was seamless and always timely. The apartment was exceptionally clean and decorated in a very functional contemporary / tasteful manner. The town of Cilipi is very quaint. Everyone to a person was welcoming and courteous.

We booked to stay here after a week of travelling Montenegro, and we wanted to be near Dubrovnik airport for our flight home the next morning. This apartment completely exceeded our expections - it was huge with a nice balcony and the owner even left bottles of homemade wine in the fridge for us to try (both were lovely!) We were warmly welcomed and the host was helpful over messages when we had questions. Well located near Dubrovnik, less than 2km from the airport and not far from the border with Montenegro. Would recommend for both a short or long stay.
