Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThere was no dedicated parking, and street parking was challenging. Also, although we booked two identical studio apartments, one had no windows and fewer amenities, although they were the same price. In addition, rowdy neighbours could be heard through the walls.
Our group stayed in the two studio apartments on the property. They were super clean, well appointed, and conveniently located. The host was very friendly and helpful and check-in was straightforward.

United KingdomReally nothing to fault. Perhaps a couple of additional hooks in the bathroom would be helpful.
This was one of the most comfortable and thoughtfully organised rooms I have ever stayed in. Although this was the option without a kitchen, a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator are all still provided. Good air conditioning and very comfortable bed. Large enough to have a good-sized dining table and chairs. Lots of power sockets. Excellent shower. Everything seemed very clean and new. Very helpful and friendly host, who really had thought of everything - map and eating suggestions provided. In a lovely and quiet location, full of character, about 10 minutes walk from Diocletian's Palace and with green spaces and beaches in the other direction.

Split, Croatia, one of the most beautiful Adriatic towns, with an authentic culture and rich history dating back 1700 years, an archaeological jewel set within the vibrant seaside, this UNESCO protected, car-free center and promenade, on the semi-ruined Roman Diocletian's Palace, and a tangle of lanes, where the city's residents still go about their daily routines, with access to beaches, islands of the Dalmatian coast, a seafood heaven, with Italian and Croatian flair. Hvala Split ♥️

FranceVery nice and comfortable stay! The studio is located in a calm green area only 5 min walk from the sea front and the historical centre. We had very clear check-in instructions and got in easily with no problems at all. Outside there is a cosy terrace which we shared with other guests at breakfast or in the evenings for aperitif. The room is clean and very well equipped (a conditioner, a TV, an iron, a microwave, an electric kettle, a coffee machine with free coffee capsules, a toaster, a fridge, a washing machine, a cooker and all the necessary cooking utensils and tableware). Ines, the hostess, was very kind and always ready to help us and to answer any questions. On our demand she offered us some extra coffee capsules for the coffee machine, changed our towels and helped to plan a bus trip to Trogir. She also recommended a nice bakery and a small shop just round the corner to buy some bakery and yogurts for breakfast. Great experience, very satisfied!

FranceThe only negative part is noise insulation, it was easy to hear the adjacent flat conversations, if sensitive, being earplugs.
The apartment is super clean and fully equipped, the location is great (few minutes from the centre by foot, bakery and supermarkets also reachable quickly) and quiet. The host is friendly, reactive, and available. A perfect place for a short stay in Split.

AustraliaWe had a really pleasant stay in this modern and well-equipped apartment. Ines was an amazing host. She responded quickly and ensured we were prepared with all the check-in info. The apartment was located a short walk into town. Most importantly, the room was well stocked with everything - even a mini 4kg washing machine & laundry detergent. Thank you Ines for a wonderful stay.

CroatiaThe walls are thin and I could hear guests next door talking.
The studio is well-equipped with everything needed. I appreciated that all the kitchen appliances and utensils are of high quality. The bed is super comfortable and the bedsheets soft. The location is perfect: in a charming neighbourhood just a few minutes walk from the city centre and a 15-minute walk to the bus station/port/train station. There are many shops and bakeries close by and a Lidl supermarket is a 10-minute walk away.

BrazilI liked everything!
The location is amazing, I did everything walking only 10 min from the old town. So close to the main meeting points from all tours! So safe area and really pleasant stay! The room was one of the cleanest I've ever been. So nice from Ines side to think about having a bottle of water, the coffee capsules and the booklet with all important info about Split plus recommendations. Ines is really accessible and really takes care of all details. I loved split and Kartolina Room!
