Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaKitchen was very dark. Not much lighting. I am old so a mattress topper with a bit of extra cushion would be a great addition
Loved the location. We wanted a place with parking. Close to Mall of Split. Lovely patio to sit out on during the evening. Our hosts were exceptional!

PortugalThe water heater was small - after 5 to 10 minutes in the shower, I ran out of hot water. My father wasn’t able to take a shower because we no longer had time to wait for the boiler to heat up again. We felt cold in the house - there is only one air conditioning unit, located at the entrance of the house, which means the heat doesn’t properly reach the other rooms. Even after closing the kitchen door to keep the warm air in, we were cold during the night and had to sleep with several layers of clothing and everything we could find - sheets, blankets, comforters.. If the hosts improve these two aspects, in my opinion, the accommodation has the potential to be a solid 10*.
The owners were very attentive and helpful upon our arrival. Everything looked clean and well organised, making the place feel welcoming.
