Room has a large bed, breakfast is delicious and dinner is even better. Views from the hotel are amazing. Facilities, especially spa, are top level. We travelled with 7 month old baby and we had everyting we needed - a very nice and clean cot as well as baby sits in the dining room. Also, the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Some things need to be changed or fixed such as shower was a bit broken and the water pressure wasn't great. Curtains had some holes inside. I had seen that the pool and beach get really crowded but thats why we went after 3-4pm.

The room was good, we got a nice sea view. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and the restaurant Cubo downstairs is really good. The staff was nice!

how towels were collected and given back - made it feel like a 3* hotel. also stop guests placing towels on beds first thing in the morning and then not using that bed for 2 - 3 hours as spaces are very limited around the pool for such a large hotel.

As for the downsides, they are not really about the hotel itself. The city can get noisy at night due to scooters and motorbikes, so if you like to sleep with open windows, that might be a challenge (though the hotel rooms themselves are very quiet). Another small detail: if you leave food on the balcony, expect the seagulls to help themselves!

If I could sum it up in one sentence – this was the best vacation of my life. The hotel provides a level of service that always exceeds expectations. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with excellent soundproofing, all the essentials you might need, and an efficient air-conditioning system. Food deserves special thanks to the hotel team. The selection is outstanding, catering to every taste – everything is incredibly fresh, from fruits to desserts. The spacious dining halls with sea views make every meal a delight. Room service could offer a slightly wider menu, but delivery is impressively fast. As for the staff – every single person is professional, attentive, and ready to help in any situation. A special thanks to the management for creating such a high standard of hospitality. Parking. The hotel has a large public parking area nearby, but since the street is narrow, spots fill up quickly. I recommend using the hotel’s underground parking. It is tight, so if you don’t have much driving experience, it’s best to let the staff park the car for you (they kindly do this free of charge). Beach. The location is breathtaking – right on the seafront, with a private beach, crystal-clear water, and amazing marine life for snorkeling. In addition to the private beach, there’s also a pool and access to several public beaches nearby. Infrastructure. Opatija itself is a gem – a charming blend of Austrian, Italian, and Croatian architecture. The city center is beautiful, perfect for strolling and relaxing, with plenty of seaside restaurants. There are also shops, a market, and supermarkets (though parking in town can be a challenge). Prices are, of course, on the “touristy” side. In summary: we will definitely return to this wonderful hotel, the beautiful city of Opatija, and Croatia.

The only problems were: - most guests were reserving sunbeds with towels early morning - some guests were smoking on balconies, so as non-smoker I had to go inside and close balcony doors

It'd be great if you could forbid or control booking the sunbeds by hotel guests who never come to the beach or near the pool. I've noticed it many times that the sunbed is occupied for the whole day.

Highly recommend, IMO, the best place to stay in Opatija.

No modern(separate) shower in the room, I understand that 5* hotel needs to have bathtub, but for most of people nowadays it is no used, while taking a shower inside the bathtub is not comfortable. Also the light in the bathroom is too warm, while needs to be more white specter and much more powerful Also from safety reasons I would suggest at the private beach, left side to move away a huge stone, which in the morning is slightly visible, but afternoon when water comes, almost invisible, people can jump and get very serious issues.

Fantastic staff, very beautiful lobby, great size of the room, very good balcony, even park side had a view of the sea from the top levels. Breakfast and dinners are good, in the past was more rich, but now is still ok. Swimming pool is very warm and reasonably deep, private beach is very nice, service overall is fantastic.

Amazing hotel in a really good location. The breakfast is really nice, lots of choices. The Cubo restaurant's food is really worth trying. I had the most amazing prawns dish. Opatijo is a fantastic town. We will be back.

Excellent hotel with wide range of amenities, such as 3 restaurants inside, a bar, an inside jacuzzi, an inside pool, an outside pool and an own part of the beach. Extremely wide range of breakfast options with high quality ingredients. The staff was really kind, everybody spoke well in English.

We have been here before and we always experience improvements. The hotel is very dog-friendly, very clean, food is excellent. The location is also nice, parking is available. Wellness and the beach is our favorite.
