Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great hotel, only 10 mins walk to old town, set back from road, so was very quiet. Really comfortable good sized bed and pillows, rooms very clean. Excellent breakfast, huge selection in lovely restaurant with option to sit outside. Couple of cafe bars and small supermarket a few mins away for essentials. Staff all very helpful and efficient.

CroatiaNothing. Everything is really excellent.
It is a new and modern hotel, excellent choice if you are traveling for work. It is located in a part of the city accessible by foot from the bus station, not far away from the old town. Rooms are small, but comfortable, spotless clean. In the shower you will find lots of amenities. Airconditioning is easy to adjust, just keep in mind it is not working if the windows are opened. The best things in the hotel is the staff and its restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is one of the biggest surprises: excellent food for very affordable prices. It has a big, nice tearrace as well. For those who would like to enjoy the see, the nearest beach is 10 min walking distance.

TaiwanIt's not very close to the bus station and the old town. Takes about 15 mins of walk to get to the attractions and 20+ mins to the bus station (bus is usually available, but sometimes not, especially on weekends or at nights).
Delicious breakfast with a wide range of option. Room is clean and comfortable. A large Kaufland is nearby.

PolandIt is now standard to offer a kettle in the room and coffee there. I like to drink black coffee in the morning before I go for breakfast. Luckily, I could go for breakfast early and stay there longer, relaxing with my coffee and then breakfast.
Excellent location, good service, and very good breakfast. The hotel's restaurant serves tasty food, old stylish music and nice atmosphere.

United Arab EmiratesStayed here during the summer and it was fantastic! The location is unbeatable — close to everything we needed. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat, keeping the room perfectly cool. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast options were excellent with plenty to choose from. Highly recommend!

CroatiaThere were a few small areas for improvement. I stayed in a Deluxe room and found the space a bit tight, especially when trying to move around with an open suitcase. It would also have been helpful to have a small fridge in the room, particularly given the 38-degree heat—just to keep some water cold. The waste bins were also on the smaller side. Additionally, I’m quite sensitive to scents, and I didn’t love that the room was sprayed with a noticeable fragrance upon arrival.
I recently stayed at A’mare Hotel in Zadar and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—within easy walking distance to both the charming old town and the newer parts of the city, which made exploring really convenient. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, which definitely added to the positive atmosphere. My room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable—great for resting after a long day of sightseeing.

CroatiaThe parking is not directly at the hotel but about a 2-minute walk away. It’s really not far, but in the summer heat I would have preferred to leave the car in a garage. Also, there’s no sea view, which I missed a little.
The room was incredibly spacious, everything was sparkling clean, and the restaurant had such a beautiful atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.

United KingdomThe odour from the bathroom drains was very off putting and the plumbing seemed quite outdated. Had we been booked to stay longer I would’ve requested a room change however we were only there 2 nights.
Gorgeous, modern hotel which was unexpected to find given the surrounding area. We had breakfast included which catered to all, including plenty of gluten free options. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was delicious! Great location for accessing Zadar marina and old town by foot.

United KingdomThe surroundings - but these are beyond the control of the hotel,
Excellent breakfast. Usual hot and cold buffet with very good choice. Unusual was delicious fresh honeycomb. Location is handy for access to old town in 7 minutes walk. Surroundings are blocks of social housing most of which are run down but restoration was evident. However don't let this put you off. On street parking is tight but we found a space nearby. A special mention and top marks for the reception staff who were very helpful in arranging for the two mobile phone chargers we had left behind to be parcelled up and contacting a delivery company to forward successfully to our next hotel in Split.
