How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewIt was very convenient and easily accessible. Warm, cozy, spotlessly clean with everything I needed. The duvet and bed were just right for me. Not too warm not too cold. It was really a mini-apartment so overall excellent value for money. I was pleasantly surprised.
To be honest, there was really nothing I didn't like. I cannot think of anything. Maybe the curtains could be more blackout at night. But this is really just a nitpick.

Verified reviewWe stayed in the Ying Loft and it was super cute! The room was a great size for two of us and we loved the window seat!
The windows could've been a bit thicker to block out more noise -- even with the windows closed on the 22nd floor we heard the street noise quite well. Further, there are only two elevators and one morning we waited 5 minutes for an elevator to arrive. The hotel is also located at the top of a hill so if you're not taking a taxi to get here, you might get a bit sweaty walking your suitcase up the hill!

Verified reviewAfter check in, when I entered the room for the first time I saw a large cockroach scurrying to hide under some furniture. My partner and I went back down to the desk to mention this and the lady working that night apologised and offered a room swap. I asked if it would be the same type of room as I had booked the Ying cabin but she mentioned it wouldn't be, rather a studio room, but that the studio room was larger. She changed the room quickly and we went to the new room and made sure there were no roaches by looking through all the room areas and cupboards. Though the room was larger it did look a little older and I went online to see what the price was and it was a cheaper room compared to the Ying cabin. I have had room swaps before due to cleanliness and normally there is mention of refund even for minor price differences when a room cannot be fulfilled due to hotel cleanliness and a downgrade is the only option. So my partner called down and made mention of this and had to explain this as there was some pushback. But we agreed that on check out that a refund for the difference would be issued and reflected on the final invoice. The next issue was the water filter for drinking water. I put some water in it following the instructions and filled up a bottle with the water it filtered and took a drink and it had a very off, sulphury taste that was undrinkable. I smelled the area where the water was inserted and it also had the same smell and I suspect it needed cleaning and/orreplacing. But at this point it was close 11pm so we just ordered some bottled water to be delivered to the foyer area and we used that instead. The only other negative was the general cleanliness of parts of the room closer to the ceiling and the air conditioners. There was a lot of thick dust present, visible from you are lying down on the bed and looking up.

Verified reviewThe place is a managed suite rather than an apartment. There is someone on the desk and you get cleaning every day. There is a short steep slope when arriving, which is only a problem for people with heavy luggage. Provided some complimentary drinks and biscuits. washing machine good. Shower very good. There is a lounge area on the ground floor and also a small outside area. The location is very good, less than 10 mins to Wan-chai metro. WiFi good. Kettle, toaster, cooking hob with hood. kitchen separate room but very small. Iron and ironing board. Air con worked well. You can get complimentary coffee (no tea) and some fruit in the lobby. Tip: there's a supermarket called "Taste" not far away that had the best selection. Recommended.

Room - I chose the only room which was studio with kitchen . Size was perfect! Kitchen - it will be good if there’s washing detergent and sponge provided .
Amenities - Adding more items in the toilet amenities would be just perfect . Kitchen - if there’s detergent and sponge it’ll help to wash down the utensils after used . Toilet water pressure was on the low , shower took longer time than usual .
