Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe windows could've been a bit thicker to block out more noise -- even with the windows closed on the 22nd floor we heard the street noise quite well. Further, there are only two elevators and one morning we waited 5 minutes for an elevator to arrive. The hotel is also located at the top of a hill so if you're not taking a taxi to get here, you might get a bit sweaty walking your suitcase up the hill!
We stayed in the Ying Loft and it was super cute! The room was a great size for two of us and we loved the window seat!

Canadahot water was not very stable... ran hot for a few seconds and turned cold, had to take very short showers...
room was cozy and had some amenities. Was missing sponge and dish soap, but we bought it, not a problem. Location was great. Staff were very nice.

United KingdomThe place is a managed suite rather than an apartment. There is someone on the desk and you get cleaning every day. There is a short steep slope when arriving, which is only a problem for people with heavy luggage. Provided some complimentary drinks and biscuits. washing machine good. Shower very good. There is a lounge area on the ground floor and also a small outside area. The location is very good, less than 10 mins to Wan-chai metro. WiFi good. Kettle, toaster, cooking hob with hood. kitchen separate room but very small. Iron and ironing board. Air con worked well. You can get complimentary coffee (no tea) and some fruit in the lobby. Tip: there's a supermarket called "Taste" not far away that had the best selection. Recommended.

MalaysiaAmenities - Adding more items in the toilet amenities would be just perfect . Kitchen - if there’s detergent and sponge it’ll help to wash down the utensils after used . Toilet water pressure was on the low , shower took longer time than usual .
Location - was indeed suitable for me as I love to see local happenings like morning markets , movements of working people in the morning . Room - I chose the only room which was studio with kitchen . Size was perfect! Kitchen - it will be good if there’s washing detergent and sponge provided .

United StatesThe rooms could benefit from soundproofing, as I could hear the slamming of heavy doors from neighboring rooms at all hours. The two elevators can become quite busy when housekeeping is making their rounds, which is something to keep in mind when short on time.
The Ying cabin was as advertised, featuring the unique green tiling and a well-designed setup for a cozy space. The bed was comfortable, and the room and kitchenette was quite clean.

United KingdomWe wanted a toilet brush, which did come the next day, but we thought should be standard equipment.
The location in general is great, in Wan Chai, close to MTR, trams and buses. Tge walk up to the hotel could put a few people off, if cases need to be dragged up, but otherwise a good location. The room was comfortable and a goodsize for two people. The staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi works well, small kitchen facility useful, though with very minimal equipment. Overall a comfortble place to stay for a few nights on Hong Kong.

AustraliaThe steep hill to get to the hotel frontage is definitely a workout in the legs after a long day of exploring (not really something I didn’t like, but more to inform guests)
The room was spacious and very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again.

United StatesI wish there were a closer supermarket, but this is not the hotel's fault!
Second time staying here, we love it. Small, of course, but it has everything you need. And the staff is always helpful. Windows can open for fresh air; washer-drier in the kitchen; they do the dishes!!
