Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Good and convenient location. Near bus stops and mtr station, near ladies market and sneaker street. The place is very clean and complete. Almost every port has adaptors. They also have hair dryer, microwave (perfect for takeouts), fridge, electric stoves with pots, rice cooker, plates and utensils, and electric kettle. Very spacious for a group of 7.

The apartment is very much like home away from home. The location is great, it's along the sneakers market and even the ladies market. Near in metro also so it's very accessible. The host is accomodating and gave us all the directions going to the apartment that it wasn't hard to get to the place from the first time. She entertains all my questions even before we got there and was very helpful during our stay.

Beds are extremely hard. I had to find extra padding to be able to sleep. The provided towels are thin and no bigger than hand towels. There is only one, very slow, lift. Be prepared for long waits and slow climbs.
Location is close to subway and a supermarket. Kitchen is functional although only one pot provided. On a main road but high enough that it is not too loud. Three small bedrooms, 2 with double sized bed and one with 2 single bunks. Apartment is cleaner and better equipped than you normally expect in these old Hong Kong buildings.

The toilet has a kind of smell to it, I doubt its the house problem but maybe because of how old the system in hong kong is as i went to a few toilets around the area and they seem to all have this sewage smell too. Luckily they installed a ventilation system so it is still not that bad.
Very convenient location as it is just above the mtr station. Walking distance to alot of shopping spots. The directions to find the place given by the host was easy to be found. Value for money because of its location and you can sleep about 8pax.

Host is very responsive. Best asset is the location. Excellent location. So many restaurants nearby. Up in the corner is an entrance to the Yau Ma Tei Station with lift (Waterloo side). Very convenient. Highly recommended.

The room needed ventilation (I think all rooms in HK are like this) but the windows can be opened so not a big deal.
I like that the owner was very open to communication. Good english and considerate. The room was generally clean (I was expecting of bad horror stories on rents, but this one was good).

what i like the most is the location of the property, next is the cleanliness of the apartment, plus it feels like home talaga! You can wash your clothes there and cook. the owner being very accomodating is a bonus! its worth the price

The apartment is in the perfect location in the middle of the city. It is very ideal for travellers as you are close to everything and the access to MTR station is just right in front of the apartment. The staff is very helpful too.

There is this odd smell in the toilet despite us scrubbing and washing the toilet.
The convenience of the location. The apartment is quite spacious under HK conditions. I like that it has a washing machine and dryer and a kitchen with utensils and a stove for cooking. Great for staying in especially during typhoon signal 10.
