Last stay its a lot of cockroaches compared to some other rooms i as the guy if can changes the he just ask the filipina to spray the room then may fun they said i need cockroaches and its not funny and lucky its nit winter theres no water heater hoping next stay we have clean room.(just forgot to take pictures of those insects)

The pictures really are deceiving. What was in the choices of rooms during booking was not the one that I got. The bunks didn’t have a close by socket for charging. I had to share an extension outlet with 4 other guests. I stayed in a 6 mixed bunk bed and there was one guest, I would rather call her a ‘tenant’, who would wake up at 5am and rummages through the room like there were there no other people sleeping there. She would come in and out multiple times. The room felt like a stock room. There were multiple luggages (some look like they have been there for ages) through which the ‘tenant’ would run through in the morning. Not sure, but I was not able to check if a towel should be provided by the hostel, but they didn’t give me one. There wasn’t even a place to hang it dry. No hanger. Nothing.

The location is definitely good since it is close to the Tsim Sha Tsui station. Easy access as well to the bus going to the airport. If you are to visit the HK Cultural Center, Avenue of Stars, then the sites are accessible by just walking.

smelly bathroom. every time you go in from the outside, there is a pungent smell coming from the bathroom. and was charged higher than what was stated on booking.com

Photos are deceptive (nothing like the pictures you see), the room it self is clean but all the surrounding looks like a third world country place. The elevator is always painful to take, and tho whole building is a little Pakistan/India with people constently proposing some weird stuff.

My expectation was realistic because I have stayed in Chungking Mansion more than five years ago multiple times. Reasonable for the price and location

The staff was amazing especially Shirie who did the extra mile to make me more comfortable in my brief two night getaway in HKG

I liked how it was value for money, considering there is a lot of attractions nearby for tourists. In general, the staff is very helpful and nice, even provide you information when asked, such as directions to a certain place. The location is awesome as there are tons of transportation for you take, making it very accessible.

Staying here for a couple of days for work was an absolute joy. The staff are there to help you 24/7, you are allowed to check-in at any time of the day (24/7 check-in) which was nice as my flight landed at 1am. The hotel is located literally a minute from the train station, all you have to do is cross the street and it is located at the hub with Victoria Harbour only 15 minutes away by walk which I frequented almost everyday. Another thing that I have to give this hotel's staff credit for is the fact that I was lost in the middle of the day and I didn't know where or who to ask for help, I gave one of the staff a call with the number provided and they helped me get back to the hotel. I even got a chance to speak with the owner. Initially I just wanted to know where I could go to eat but his tone and mannerisms were so welcoming, we ended up talking for an hour. At first I was a bit concerned having read the other reviews. But after my stay, all I know is if I were to ever visit Hong Kong again for work or pleasure, this will be the place I stay at.

Unfortunately, a lot. Dirty room, hair on the bed, bits on the floor, mouldy mirror etc. Tiny bathroom with shared shower that remained wet the majority of the day, making clothes and the bed damp. The sink pipes also leaked onto the floor. Noisy environment, people banging on the walls and floors from above in other residences.

Nothing. Backpacking only. not ideal for family. Service hopeless. Scam. Lift is BS. Wifi is full of shit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND any hotel in the Chungking Mansion. Stay far away. Dirty not customer friendly. Worst experience ever
