You have to ask "the reception" for the room to be cleaned... its not by default, which I dont like very much. Even though I ask for it to be cleaned the bathroon wasnt very clean. So I specifically asked the second day to take care of the shower and it wasnt cleaned. But honestly its a very small detail. The hotel in general is amazing and the owner is fantastic.

Its a wonderful hotel. Such great taste for decoration. Our room was amazing because it has two rooms, great for couples that have a "sleep divorce" LOL. The view of the room we had is amazing since we had a little terrace. The food is nice. The location is unbeatable. I read comments before coming that there was noise in the room but at least the season (August) we went is was "super super" quiet. I am very picky with noise and it was perfect for rest.

In my room, cascada there were a lot of bugs and 2 big spiders. I knew it could happen so that didn’t bother me too much but if you’re afraid, keep it in mind if you stay here

A few more options for dinner/lunch at the restaurant would be great (breakfast was amazing!). FYI you have to walk to the hotel from the street if arriving by car.

Lush lives up to its name, with beautiful jungle life built into this family-run business. The owner was there and she checked in with us a few times. It was amazing to wake up to the birds and plants with a lake view (and the cat!). Location is great, walkable to everything in town and the ferries. You must try the pumpkin seed drink at the cafe.

There was not a view of the lake (the beauty is the jungle garden vibe of lush) and there was construction next door all day (not the fault of the hotel)

Close to the boat. Kind staff. Clean. Excellent food. Bordering the nature preserve (highly recommend for swimming). Hummingbirds on site if you’re patient.

Could not extend stay in the same room. Breakfast was not included. We had breakfast there once and found it a bit pricey compared to the options you can find in town.

Spend 3 nights - 2 in one room and other night i other room as we decided to extend stay. Communication was easy. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The ceilings in the bathroom were too low. Anyone over 180cm will need to bend in the cave room. Also no small light for reading or dim.

A jungle oase close to the trampoline park and dock, as well as every restaurant. Loved the unique interieur of this place.

My friend and I stumbled upon this hotel when we were in San Marcos, and we are so glad we did. It was so unique and beautiful. Each room had interesting features; some even had a shower built into a rock face. We were so comfortable here and the staff helped so much when we had to switch rooms. Also, the free breakfast and coffee in the morning was amazing.

The whole place is beautiful, set within the jungle and it's great they've kept the integrity of the natural beauty around it. We stayed 3 days in one room and decided to stay an extra night, and had to move to the King Room. Location is close to everything you need, the staff are really helpful, and they have a few small music events happening in the ground that you can attend for free. It's worth noting that if you have accessibility issues, you will likely struggle to reach the rooms here. The steps are step and a lot. Also, if you're scared of insects and spiders, again, it's probably not for you because these rooms, like most around the lake, are set within the jungle. It's their natural habitat that we're in, and we have to accept they'll be there.

My shower had a weak stream and the water temperature was either scalding or ice cold, but I just worked with it.

All the food was wonderful. Never had a bad meal. The owner accommodated our room to have breakfast included to match our friend group who also stayed at LUSH. So kind. No AC but not a problem with the lush greenery providing shade and cool nights. I liked sharing a villa style with my friends (the bride and groom), but also having my own room and bathroom for privacy. They also decorated the bride and grooms room with flowers, etc., which was very kind.

Very pretty place, well maintained and cared for - an oasis! The staff is caring, helpful: including the drive there, taking care of luggage back and forth, many details - without us having to ask - activities (tour to Chichicastenango), help with pharmacy, etc. Lovely, professional and warm staff. Place is spotless and garden so gorgeous! And the food was perfect: yummy, interesting, local, thoughtful… we loved it: did a lot of research, tried a few options, and came back as it was by far the best choice, and a really good one. We truly enjoyed our stay. (Women in their 50 - and picky…. - though lots of guests were much younger) And others staying there said the same thing. Plus it’s well located: easy to go to everything we wanted to do in San Marcis: close, safe etc. Right next to eco reserve and easy walk to commercial area, boat dock… It’ll be a wonderful memory for sure!

It’s at a perfect location in a stunning setting. Everyone was beyond friendly & helpful. Staying at Lush made our trip to San Marcos a very special one. We very much enjoyed the concert on the property. Both restaurants were excellent. The views unbeatable. Thank you!
