Good stay!

Our room had large numbers of mosquitos in it and we were badly bitten when we first arrived. We did inform the front desk who just told us to use repellent. We had stayed at another hotel in Flores earlier in our trip and that hotel did not have an issue with mosquitos.

This was great value for money with good facilities and a fun atmosphere. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy and AC was efficient. Our son enjoyed using the pool table and we had good food and drink in the bar. The room was quiet at night and you could not hear the bar.

if you want to do an activity the hostal is slighty more expensive than other organisations (getaway travelers - there was no fee for card payment)...

- really kind stuff - location is perfect - clean & safe - cool facility we booked the cheapest dorm room, but there was a mixup in the hostel system, so we got upgraded to a better dorm!! Was really kind of them!!

The room was a little dark, there was very little daylight. From our room we could hear music and people partying for quite some time in the late evening. That did not match very well with us needing to get up quite early on two days. If you pay with credit card they charge you at least 10% extra.

Nice Hostel with a good restaurant. The general area for the hostel guests feature a pool table and a whirlpool which was really cool. Community bathrooms were also nice and clean. There are a lot of plants, which make you feel feel you chill in the jungle. Typical hostel kitchen, but was very usable.

Bit annoying not having a chill space to hang out in after 9:30pm. They close the kitchen and common area about then and then bar closes half an hour after that so nowhere to hang out except for dorms where people are sleeping.

Nice, clean and beautiful hostel. Lots of highlights like the pool table, amazing bar, rooms good.

The bathroom is really far from the rooms and it is all the way in the middle of the restaurant/bar. This is really uncomfortable when you have to walk all the way through people partying to go and have a shower or use the restroom. I didn’t think it was going to bother me as much as it did

A little pricey for not even having breakfast included, fee when paying with card, loudest bathroom doors ever, low water pressure, some rooms have pretty small lockers, when I extended and had to change rooms, the A/C was freezing cold. The common area is shut down at 10, so ppl can sleep, but the restaurant closes at 10 too, so you can only go to the night bar and party (the reason why they give out free tequila shots). The music in the night bar is way too loud to have a proper conversation.

Clean, good restaurant (big portions), tours can be booked in the hostel, quiet at night, several activities, friendly and helpful staff, A/C, good common area with several chill out spaces and a pool table, easy to meet new people.

The common areas are somehow hotter than outside the hostel. It made it really steamy and attracted a lot of bitey bugs. This hostel attracts a very young crowd.

The on-site travel agency was great. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Showers and toilets were clean.

The price is a little high and the internet connection isn't wow. The bar and restaurant are really cool but the prices there are very high

The private room was very clean and good decorated. The shared showers were the best I have ever seen in a hostel - big, clean, hot water and good pressure. Nice big kitchen.

The smoking in the common area wasn’t great. The trip to Tikal wasn’t as explained - get up early to then spend time collecting people from other hostels and then go to a restaurant for breakfast - after the hotel encouraged you to buy a box lunch (that you are not allowed to take to park). Said max 15, but was over 20.

Restaurant was the best. Rooms comfortable. Fun, relaxed vibe. Helpful, nice staff. Allowed you to store bags after check out, plenty of showers and places to hang out even after check out.

Prices could be lower, especially the drinks. People were not drinking much because of the prices and you make more money with lower prices. There was low water pressure on bathroom of the private room we stay in, making shower really bad.

Deluxe dorms were VERY noisy, it was essentially the same as sleeping in the restaurant. Could only get quiet between 10 pm and 5 am. Beds were comfy and roomy. Seemed like there was too many staff members, they were always standing together chatting and anytime I needed to ask something I had to interrupt their conversation for it. If you are going to stay up late and party this is the place for you. Good tour desk as well. If you like sleep, book elsewhere and use their tour desk.

Los Amigos has one of the best amenities I've seen in a hostel. We had a double room, which was maybe a bit on the pricey side - but that's all of Flores for you. Breakfast there was great, rest of the foods not so much. We had a good bed, good shower and staff were helpful!

Bathrooms were oddly located by the restaurant, there are other bathrooms in the back but in the mornings they used up the floor space right by the bathrooms to do yoga and they kind of block the entrance but you don’t want to disturb them so you just wait it out lol.

1) Overpriced food and drinks menu. 2) The restaurant and bar staff are hardworking but are TIRED - they cannot keep pace with the demand and the sprawl of the seating, my friend's order did not show up after 45 minutes and mine was a little mixed up too. Communication issues exist between frontline waiting staff and kitchen back-end. 3) Things tend to slip down from upper dorm beds as there is space from all sides - better design of the bedding space required. 4) Noise from kitchens reaches dorms, also entry and exit through heavy doors is noisy.

1) Large, ample space over several levels. 2) Brilliant restaurant and bar space. 3) Made and gave me a breakfast box, when it was not given at 4am before Tikal tour, they gave me the same later, reheated with a free drink thrown in. Problems can occur anywhere but it is how the property resolves them that matters. 4) Friendly and helpful staff at reception and dining. 5) Charging points and lights for each dorm bed. 6) Clean bathroom. 7) Hot and cold drinking water stations easily accessible. 8) Travel agency on the property that helped with tour booking and onward travel. 9) Rocking music in the bar area. 10) Several unisex common toilets - 'Whatever, just wash your hands!' 11) A good opportunity to interact with not only other travellers but also the local young and hip Guatemalan crowd.
