Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only downside was the busy road to walk to get to Fira but it didn't spoil the stay at all, just something to be aware of. We found roads are like this across the islands making it difficult to walk between places.
The family running this hotel were amazing - so friendly and provided excellent service (much better than 5* hotels we have stayed). The view of the caldera was out of this world and didn't need to fight the crowds in the main towns but instead could sit on the balcony with a drink and watch it relaxed. Pool was great for relaxing around after exploring and always quiet with no issues getting a sunbed. Breakfast on the balcony delivered every morning was great and again, always served with great service.

PolandAmazing view and plenty of sunshine. The swimming pool water is crystal clear, and breakfast is both delicious and generous. You can choose anything from the menu, and it will be delivered straight to your balcony or terrace. It’s just 35 minutes to the center of Fira and – most importantly – only 7 minutes to Lidl 🤪

AustraliaAbsolutely not one thing we could possibly fault.
Every single part of our stay here exceeded all expectations. The price, the amenities and the view was something else! Location was prime as well. The breakfast selection delivered to your room every morning was amazing too. Though our favourite part of our stay was the hospitality we received from the beautiful family who run the villa. They were so welcoming and the loveliest souls we have ever met. Will definitely come all the way from Australia again next year to visit again. Thank you to Manolis and the family we loved every minute of our stay!

RomaniaNot a complaint, but the bathrooms are not as spectacular as the rooms.
Beautiful, spacious rooms, quiet, very close to the city of Fira. The location is perfect if you rent a car and want to stay away from the crowded places, but close enough to get there in a few minutes. We enjoyed the pool, the views and everything about our stay. Very good breakfast as well and friendly staff.

AustraliaBathroom needs some attention.
Very welcoming management and staff. We arrived early and an early check-in was granted. Staff assisted with taxis. Great pool and view facing the amazing Santorini sunset. Fantastic breakfast in the room. Close to a few cafes and restaurants but a 30min walk to Fira.

South AfricaWhile the breakfast was amazing they did get our order wrong twice but they quickly rectified it. The last bus from Fira is at 8pm so if you stay out till late you have to take a taxi which is €15.
The place is exquisite. The view is breathtaking. It is right at the edge of the caldera. The staff is extremely friendly and also very fluent in English. It’s close to Fire town, the bus stop is just outside the hotel at only €2. It is also close to the port. So the location is perfect. It’s great value for money. Breakfast was lovely and fresh with a huge variety to choose from (egg, cereal, croissants, bread, yoghurt, bacon, sausage etc). The room is spacious and neat. The staff responds promptly to requests or questions. They are really warm. I would stay here again. You might think it’s far from the city center but it isn’t, it’s less than 10min by bus. You might be tempted to stay in the city center but those accommodations are either too expensive or not worth the price for the standard. This villa is worth the trade off, a little outside the city center but pretty and comfortable and there is plenty of transportation.

United StatesIt was a wonderful stay. One of the days we got back from being out all day - sweaty and sticky, and the hot water was gone, which was a bit of a pill but I think everyone was showering at that time. Also, there is no shower curtain and no way to wash in the shower without water getting all over the bathroom. Not a problem, really, especially with the most perfect view you will ever see in your life!
The hosts are very very nice and accommodating - they were available via WhatsApp every time I had a question day or night! The breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel. The view is... UNBELIEVABLE!! ...Breathtaking. The hotel is about a mile south of Fira. We walked to, through, and back from Fira the first day and took a bus that night back to go to the bars. The next day, we took a bus (station right across the street) to Oia - there is a transfer which is kind of annoying and we stayed all day. To get back, we got a taxi which was about 60 Euros with a tip, but it was well worth it.

United KingdomWifi didn’t connect the whole time I stayed there. Its on the main road away from main towns. So if you didn’t rent a car and travelling everywhere by foot then you have to walk at least good 30 minutes to get to proper town to find loads to different restaurants.
It was a lovely hotel with wonderful pool, views and breakfast served in the room. Staff was amazing too. The only issue was my wifi didn’t connect the whole time I stayed. It would only connect in the pool area. Lidls is close by to shop for snacks but for any proper reasonable priced restaurants you have to walk at least 30-40 minutes if you have not rented a car or a taxi. If you want street food then you will have to go to fira or other villages which again by foot is minimum 40 minutes walk.
