Just back from the most perfect two week break here, Sophia, Lydia and Nikos were the perfect hosts. Everything was beautiful from the start. The pool area is exceptional, sometimes had the pool to ourselves. The rooms and gardens so well kept and lots of lovely personal touches throughout the grounds. We will miss our morning coffees and granola bowls! Cannot wait to return, this is a real gem in a beautiful place.

The only tiny improvement we would make to make our stay more comfortable would to include a coffee machine or a small amount of coffee for people just staying for a couple of nights as we had to buy a full pack of which felt wasteful as none was provided but we wanted in our room in the morning. Beautiful coffees for fair price by the pool, but just felt this small thing would have made our stay perfect!

Beautiful small hotel decorated in a traditional Greek style, the room had a kitchenette so you could make simple meals. Amazing helpful staff . Very chilled laid back vibe . Loved every minute, we highly recommend it and there are loads of restaurants with 5 min walk.

- We loved the hotel, but if we had known the area before, we would probably have booked something elsewhere. It is not a charming area, with run down streets, half finished buildings and loud neigbouring hotels nearby (with loud music playing when we tried to sleep)- so bring earplugs. - drinks a bit pricy

Wonderful cute hotel where we got a nice room with little kitchen, sofa area, bathroom, bedroom and a little balcony. We loved the size and style of the room, which looks very authentic greek and a very nice boutique hotel style. The pool area is nice, cozy and has enough sunbeds for all the guests. The breakfast was good and it was nice with drinks, coffee and snack options throughout the day. There is restaurants and a supermarket nearby for dinner and whatever you need. Maria, who was running the little bistrot, was super friendly and welcoming- and so is the family who owns this place.

I can not think of anything that could have been better. As stated earlier; this has been one of the best holidays I ever had.

I very much liked everything about my stay there. The staf at Villa Ippocampi is pleasant, professional, kind and very accommodating the guests request. The best example that on the day I left (I had a late flight back home) I was offered to stay as long as I wanted and enjoy the pool, and before I left I could even take a shower and change. AMAZING! My room was amazing, lost of privacy, with a nice terrace to relax. It was sparkling clean, and cleaning takes place many times. The location is also very good, walking distance of the charming town centre and that centre is also very nice. Lots of good places to have drinks, buy some souvenirs and good food all around. It has been one of the best holiday experiences I ever had.

Absolutely nothing.

A beautiful, unique and peaceful oasis. Maria is super friendly and helpful, she really makes the place feel like home. The pool area is a little gem with different areas to sit or sun bathe and there was always plenty of room, some times we had it to ourselves. The little touches made it very special, there’s a lot of love and detail gone into this family built and run hotel and you can see and feel it the moment you walk through the gates.

A toaster is the only thing I can suggest that would improve the experience.

A beautiful little gem. Rooms are comfortable but not luxurious as they are typically Greek, however all the little personal touches raise the bar. A basket for you to use at pool, welcome pack in fridge and friendly staff all go together to make this a very special place to rest and relax.

The only minor issue was the Wi-Fi wasn’t good in our room but our friends didn’t have any problems and it was fine in the communal areas. Although in this day and age it is good to get away from it all, so not necessarily a negative for us.

Villa Ippocampi was a haven of relaxation. The staff particularly Maria were lovely. It was on the edge of the town, so peaceful but a short walk to all the facilities, which included some fantastic restaurants. I loved the little restaurant and the setting around the pool. The apartments were spacious and clean. I would definitely return and was sorry to leave.

Too many Germans.

This place felt like a comfortable beachside home. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Nikos can talk politics whilst Maria makes you another ouzo cocktail to let down your guard. Such a charming little place in a charming little village. I wish I could have spent more time there, but stayed only One night at The tail end of 2 weeks in Crete. I would have been quite comfortable and relaxed and cared for had I stayed a few more days. Proximity to good beaches was a plus, only 20 min from HER and there’s parking right across the entry. Pool is a charming size, very clean. Would highly recommend.
