Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Property was clean, staff were amazingly helpful in terms of their concierge team, organising transfers to & from local villages & towns, staff for us 12/10 went above & beyond & even gifted us some house wine from the local area which was a great touch .

- amazing rooms, spacious, comfy and beautifully decorated - albeit a little small the pools are heated - staff is super nice and helpful - the hotel is extremely well maintained - quiet and peaceful on a very busy island - not overly expensive

Franceneeds a microwave (or hot plate), despite plenty of space for one, there is no way to warm up a meal; breakfast was delicious but served out of a delivery bag, no plates available for eating on, no hot drinks provided with breakfast (but nespresso machine available in the suite with two capsules per day)

United KingdomThere were very minor things in what was a spectacular trip! The heating system was not super user-friendly, we figured it out near the end but a how-to leaflet would have helped a lot! There was a random deep hole in our room, it looked like it stored water or something previously. There was a hole on the left with a glass covering but I would recommend covering the right one as well as it would be very dangerous if someone fell in. I would not say this room is family/kid-friendly because of this.
I booked Victoria Caves to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday and it exceeded all of our expectations. Our flights were delayed and they were super accommodating and had someone at reception 24/7. The journey from the airport takes around 7 to 10 minutes, make sure to take cash if you will be travelling by taxi!! We were surprised to receive a room upgrade, the first view of our room completely blew us away. We live in a 2 bed flat in London and this place was almost double to size of our flat!! There was some cold water and lovely coffee ready upon arrival and lovely hygiene products and soft towels of all sizes. Our first morning was a treat with a hand-delivered breakfast to our room, the breakfast had a lovely variety of local food, mystery pastries and fresh orange juice. Our hot tub and room were cleaned daily by very friendly staff and the attentive reception staff were eager to help with any requests. Make sure to add them on WhatsApp! The location was super central, we visited Fire, Red Sand Beach and the Dock and the journeys were all around 20 minutes, the private taxi service from the hotel is super premium if you do not have your own car. The taxi prices in the area are relatively high but it's because the island is on the smaller side! We used the hot tub every day on our trip, it felt private and was super romantic in the evenings after a day of walking in the sun. The electronics and lights take a bit of getting used to but we streamed movies from YouTube onto the TV which worked well. Overall the WIFI was very strong too! Overall the staff were attentive and exceeded any requests or expectations, an example of this was the lovely wine hand gifted to my partner on his 30th birthday! Thank you so much for the memorable trip, we have recommended too all our loved ones and hope to be back soon :)

United KingdomThe location is a little difficult. It’s around 10-15 mins walk to a bus stop or taxis are really expensive to get to Oia /Thira. We hired a car which was easy through the property. Slight funny smell from the bathroom but nothing major!
Really nice property. The decor is amazing and really modern. The breakfast was more than expected. Friendly staff! So nice to have a private little pool!
