Great hotel on Vassilias beach between bus stop 8 and 9. Easy access to the bus stop, steep in places, but great views, exceptional sunrises, lovely large pool a bit too chlorinated but great size and depth for diving, playing and swimming. Right above the beach and Sorkos Beach restaurant and bar was a bonus as didn't have to walk far for food and water supplies. Supermarket and bakery at bus stop 10 Achladies a bit of a walk and quite steep walking back but could easily get the bus. Ate at Kassandra Bay a couple of times too which was a lovely treat. Loved the water taxi into Skiathos town for a livelier night out.

The staff were very welcoming and warm. The location is great as there is a water taxi that takes you to the old port of Skiathos. The pool is nice and the bar is right next to it for refreshments.

The hill isn’t ideal for everyone and the sofa beds were not that comfy! But I will be back next year!!!

Facilities were not too modern and they were not really clean, but the view made up for everything

Whilst there are a lot of hills & steps to access the accommodation, the flip side is stunning views from the rooms. The water taxi pulls up at the beach and you are in Skiathos main town within 20 minutes. The rooms are reasonably spacious with kitchen facilities. This isn't a corporate hotel, it is a local hotel, with all the style that goes with it. The staff are friendly, and the guests return year after year from many different countries. This is a charming hotel that is more 'comfy shabby chic' than glossy accommodation.

As others have said, the path up from the pool to the apartments/road is extremely steep. We are all reasonably fit and active and we did go thinking.... oh it probably isn't as bad as others have said, it is, it is very steep! Perfectly manageable if you take it slowly and have no mobility issues but not much fun walking back up from the pool or restaurant in 30 degree heat. It didn't spoil our holiday but definitely something people need to be aware of.

We went knowing and expecting the apartment to be fairly basic but in a good location near a bus stop and a beach close by. We got exactly what we expected, our apartment was spacious and immaculately cleaned every day. We had two balconies, two bathrooms and plenty of room for two adults and three children. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We all enjoyed our stay and the children loved the pool! We would happily stay here again.

It’s on a very steep hill not suitable if you’re old, disabled unfit although it probably get you fit

Considering it is fairly cheap it’s pretty good value. The pools bigger than it looks in the pictures and you can have it to yourself in peak season it’s certainly not busy.

There was a extremely steep slope to get from the beach back to the apartment (we were at the very top). People with reduced mobility or with small children may want to ask for apartments situated further down. The breakfast we had on the first day at the nearby restaurant Sorokos (which Vasilias recommended when we asked where we could. go for breakfast) was very disappointing for 10 €. (However, we had other meals there and this restaurant was very good with fair prices). Also, to set the correct expectations, it should be mentioned that it is a residence and not a hotel

I don't like to be negative as it was charming, but I found the bed really uncomfortable and didn't sleep that well.

The lady at reception was lovely and friendly. We loved the location as it's a quiet less touristy beach. The apartment has a hob and fridge so we could cook which was a plus. There was space outside the apartment to eat under an olive tree with a sea view.

Nice apartment with garden, They have a lovely dog on the premisiss that unfortunately kept barking through the night. The loaction is a bit off, you need a car or rely on the local bus to move around. Steep and long walk to nearest supermarket. Busticket is 2 or 3 € depending how far you want to go. Taxi to airport between 15-18 €. There is an ok beach and pool close to apartment. The restaurant next door was ok.

If I need to pick something it would be quite old furniture in the room (bed was comfortable, but the smallest movement would cause loud noise). No benches and sun umbrellas for usage on the beach (only those by the swimming pool) for the hotel guests.. This are just details, it didn't have serious impact on our amazing stay in Vasilias Beach Hotel :)

Our view was amazing. The beach was gorgeous. The restaurant on the beach was superb. We got a water taxi to the port and loved that too. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Although it’s not in the main drag we would stay here again.

While the hotel had potential, several factors significantly impacted our stay. The lack of window screens was problematic, especially during warmer evenings when we wanted fresh air but couldn't open windows due to insects. The rooms had a persistent cigarette odor that was quite unpleasant. Our room, which was supposed to accommodate 4 people, had only a single air conditioning unit. The bedroom area had no AC at all, making it uncomfortably hot and difficult to sleep during warm weather. This was particularly problematic for a room designed for multiple guests. The sleep quality was further compromised by extremely poor bedding. The double bed had a low-quality mattress where you could feel the springs poking through when lying down, making it quite uncomfortable. The pillows were also very hard, adding to the difficulty of getting a good night's rest. The pool and beach access was particularly challenging, as they were located downhill from the main hotel building. This meant navigating two very steep hills each time we wanted to use these facilities, which was exhausting and certainly not accessible for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The trek up and down with towels and beach equipment was genuinely difficult. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and slow, making it challenging to stay connected for both work and leisure needs. The hotel management should address these basic amenities to improve the guest experience, particularly the inadequate air conditioning coverage, poor quality bedding, internet connectivity, and accessibility concerns regarding the pool and beach access.

The description of the room was not the same as description on the booking. Pictures weren't match the reality. The room that we got was old and didn't have direct view to the sea (on the description we reserved the room with the seaview). There is no available wifi. Moreover, the room was not super clean and there was unpleasant smell in the room and as well as from the outside the balcony. We informed the owner of the house that this room was not the one we saw on the description. The good thing was that owner gave us the better room with the view. However, we got it after 2 nights only.

The hotel is located near to the beach and there is a great restaurant too. There is also swimming pool and beautiful garden. Next to swimming pool there is beach bar. Close to bus stop. There was small kitchen with all nessary equipments.
