Our booking was advertised as including breakfast, but there was no breakfast as there has been in previous years. The room was lovely but quite small and you had to step over the end of the bed to get round to one side.

The location is great, so close to shops, bars and restaurants whilst also being quiet. The staff are really friendly and very helpful and the pool was great, although not heated as advertised. We lost water at 6pm on a Saturday and they couldn’t have managed the situation any better. We had a room beside the pool so had a lovely outlook.

Elegant and perfectly well styled boutique hotel decorated in a modern design, adults only, in the centre of Fira. Excellent service and a beautiful and relaxing pool. I would definitely book it again.

We could have done with some water in the room, or at least an option to buy some and other beverages on site. There is a supermarket close though, so it wasn’t too much of an issue! We also would have appreciated some umbrellas for shade around the sun beds as it can get quite warm! But you can sit in the shade if needed away from the sun beds (we’re just very pale people)

We stayed for a week and it was perfect, we got the room with the pool view and had our own sun bed located privately around the corner. The rooms were very modern and clean. The pool was great after a long day and it was very central, with a supermarket next door. We also loved the staff, they helped us with trips, dinner recommendations and always had a smile on their face - they couldn’t be more helpful.

Beautiful little set of rooms. Location in Fira was great. Very short walk from the centre of town and the bus stop (to get to other parts of the island) but the apartments were still very quiet and peaceful. I stayed in the Superior Queen Room and it was clean and comfortable. Not huge but more than enough room for a couple or solo traveller. The pool was lovely and a great area to relax. Staff were friendly and very helpful with booking things like catamaran cruises and airport taxis. No food or drinks are available at the property but a convenience store is right next door and a supermarket plus restaurants are very close by. Would definitely stay again!

The current description (june 2025) of the superior queen room on booking isn’t accurate. The special feature of the room is an “access” to the pool and the “sea view” refers to a street view, with a glimpse of the sea, a few kms away. It is not a caldera view. Considering the hotel location and the wording used to describe the room, this may cause some confusion.

The hotel space is gorgeous, it has a designer feeling. It is also conveniently located a few minutes from the heart of Thira with all the shops and restaurants. It is close the bus terminal and has a large supermarket nearby. The staff was easy to communicate with and they kindly arranging a transfer to the hotel. They also assisted with an early check-in. The room was very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the small bacony. We truly appreciated the acces to the outdoor pool after a long day of exploring. Overall, although the room was different from what we expected, we are happy to recommend Uma Ray to anyone.

The hotel is very well localized. It's very near the main area of Fira and also very close to the bus station. There are many facilities nearby like supermarket, pharmacy and rent a car. The staff of the hotel was always super nice to us and very helpful. The hotel has 2 pools (interior and exterior) and towels are provided, which is great! The room is not huge but is enough for two persons, especially taking into consideration the balcony.

The room is somehow poor of ventilation, but with A/C it would not be a great problem. The switch of the light for the balcony of our room is broken and the light for the balcony kept on all the nights. Although it could be mostly covered by the curtains, but still a little bit annoying.

Very clean and tidy room! The hotels look very new and modern. The swimming pool looks good (although we didn’t try it). Also very great location near to market, restaurant, and bus stop. The staffs are very nice. It also provide taxi service from and to the airport.

There are no negatives. The hotel does not provide breakfast any more but there are so many places nearby and we do brunch more than breakfast. I can't think of anything not to like with this hotel.

This hotel was in a great location, peaceful and very modern. It has a lovely pool area and the rooms are excellent. We had a pool room view. The hotel owners are really nice and made our stay really relaxed. I was so happy we booked this hotel as it suited all our needs and was in easy walking distance of the town and caldera view points. My best wishes to the owners I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The room came with a coffee maker. We requested a kettle and some cups and they were provided immediately.
