Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location, my room, and the views of the Balkan for the sunsets was outstanding! The guy who serves at the pool is a hoot and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. The stairs are steep so be mindful of your luggage but the staff are very helpful.

AustraliaI was aware of the volume of stairs, but it is a factor for getting to the hotel and even just getting around. It would also be great if there was some kind of room service or food delivery. The rooms are very basic and make sure you get a room with your own balcony.
The views are absolutely unbeatable. The pool and pool area is large for Santorini and a welcome relief in the middle of the day

The view from our balcony was brilliant - right over the Caldera and the sunsets were spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. We were particularly happy that our family were in rooms surrounding ours. Lovely peaceful location a short walk (uphill!!) to great restaurants and bars. Reception was very good at helping us meet up with our tours and organising cars to other parts of the island (at no additional cost and at rates competitive with the going rate)

Absolutely amazing hotel and would come here again. Staff is so nice and allowed us to check in earlier. Helped us book a boat trip which we really enjoyed and gave us tips about the island. Wasn’t busy at all (for big season) and it was us (2) and max 5 more people at the pool each day. Affordable food and drinks around the pool (we were happily surprised). Breakfast was yummy. Rooms are big. Especially the bathroom - very sizable. AC was a big saver - wow that thing worked really well!! Great value for money. Location is 10/10, close to everything yet not noisy at all. View is amazing, like nothing I’ve seen. Mesmerizing.

Israelhe breakfast lacked vegetables, and for people with gluten sensitivity, the only option was gluten-free bread. The room was basically equipped , we missed a holder for toothbrushes and a soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower. Like many hotels in Santorini located on the cliffside, accessibility is difficult for people with disabilities or low fitness levels, there are many stairs to go up and down.
The view from the room’s balcony was breathtaking, close to the main streets, and relatively close to the public parking lot.

Wow, Wow and Wow! What an amazing place to stay! We had room 105 & it was incredible! Super clean & really big! What made it even better was the view across the Caldera!! It was just stunning, and you could just sit there & watch all the cruise ships arriving & leaving right below. The sunset from the balcony was just amazing as well! Tzekos is directly below Barolo Restaurant where people pay hundreds to sit and watch the sunset so we felt super lucky to be able to sit on our balcony or on the pool level below, with a glass of champagne and watch the most incredible Sunsets, as good as any other spot on Santorini. Location was also perfect, just a few minute walk to the main hub of Santorini, shops, bus terminal, restaurants, supermarket all within 5 minute walk. The pool was fantastic too. It was sparkling clean, deep, and very refreshing with amazing views right across the Caldera! The pool bar man was lovely, and he made the BEST ever Strawberry Daiquiri! (Highly Recommend!) Also, the stairs were not an issue at all as they had a great porter who carried our suitcases down from the street level to our room and back up again when we checked out. Breakfast was lovely and great selection, again the view from breakfast area was to die for! Could not recommend Tzekos high enough to anyone visiting Santorini.
