Beautiful location with great views over Aegiali. Amazing hosts, we were so lucky to meet Dimitrios and Yvonne and share their home for a few days. Dimitrios made everything possible to make us feel at home and to share his love for the Cyclades with us. He couldn't possibly be more helpful and welcoming. His optional breakfasts are fabulous with multiple courses of homemade high quality dishes made of local products.

The apartment is located between Aegiali and Tholaria, with a magnificent view of Aegiali bay. The room was a true Cycladitic beauty, very clean, and the balcony offers a great resting spot. The host was very kind and helpful, offering local advice for our vacation on the island.

That we couldn’t stay to live there.

The question is what didn’t I like? My friend and I spent 3 nights at Theoreion which were pure bliss. Dimi, together with his wife Ivonne, went truly above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our holiday. He communicated clearly and welcomed us before we arrived, kept in touch and gave us useful information. When we arrived he welcomed us very warmly and showed us where we would be staying. The B&B is halfway between the port of Aigiali and the village of Tholaria, it’s a 5 minute drive to either village, or a 30 minute walk. The closest beach is Levrossos, which is a quarter hour walk from the accommodation, or a two minute drive. If it hadn’t been for Dimi’s fantastic hospitality, the view from the room would be the centerpiece of our stay. Both units on the top floor have fantastic views over Aigiali bay, as well as the villages in the mountains. The rooms are spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom is also modern and comfortable. The terrace is beautiful and big, so you can sit down with a book, work or have a glass of wine, there is both a table and a long bench to sit on and enjoy the view, as well as a large parasol in case the sun is strong. The rooms have air conditioning and fast wifi. Dimi gave us very personalized advice of where to eat, swim and visit on the island, with suggestions of what to eat at each place based on their specialties, we practically lived by them during our time on Amorgos and the result was fantastic. I suggest you have breakfast at the B&B, it is most certainly worth it! Dimi and Ivonne prepare a fantastic three course breakfast with specialty coffee and freshly pressed juice, all from locally sourced products which they carefully select, it’s a true gourmet experience for an affordable price and a fantastic view from the family table on the terrace below the room. Dimi is kind, well travelled and has grown up on the island, and shares his secrets and makes you feel right at home.

What a stunning location and view! We loved the apartment style room with the big terrace overlooking the bay area. Dimitrios is a great host with fantastic local tips (we followed most and were very happy we did) and he makes the best healthy breakfasts. We highly recommend to stay in this lovely family run place with warm hearted people!

The location was excellent, the view from our room was breathtaking, overwatching the whole Aegiali bay, and still at a walkable distance from the port, beach and shops. Dimitrios' hospitality was also beyond our expectations. Would definitely stay there again!

We had an amazing stay at Theoreion. Everything was beyond our expectations. The apartment was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view on the Aegiali bay. 
 The thing we appreciated the most was Dimitrios and Ivonne's hospitality. It truly made our visit of the island the highlight of our trip through the Cyclades. They made us feel at home and they shared all their best secrets of the island. We also started our days with a delicious breakfast made of local products. Ivonne and Dimitris are wonderful hosts that go way and above to make you feel home. They shared a wealth of information about local eateries and things to do. High quality accommodation with a fancy bathroom in a fantastic location. The views are breathtaking.

Fabulous accommodation with incredible views. Dimitrios was a simply outstanding host and it was great to meet him and Yvonne and their beautiful daughter Sienna! Communication was first class throughout the trip and we were made to feel incredibly welcome during our stay. Amorgos is beautiful and the stay at Theoreion only enhanced our enjoyment of this special island. Than you Dimitrios - hopefully we will return again soon!

Dimitrios and Ivonne were both so welcoming! If you want to discover the true meaning of hospitality, you really need to stay there! Dimitrios was our « guardian angel » throughout our stay, providing great advice and helping us out whenever we needed (water, drives…) The breakfast was delicious, honestly the best food we’ve tasted in Greece :) 1000% recommended!

It was all absolutely perfect

The best choice we could have possibly made. And probably the best guesthouse in the whole island of Amorgos. The amount of care and dedication this family has put is noteworthy and a true hymn to the famous Greek hospitality. - The room was spacious, clean, with an incredible view to the Aigiali bay and the mountains. It was being cleaned every day and a new bottle of fresh water was provided ( no drinking water in the Cyclades) - Our host not only had prepared a lovely and super helpful guide for the island which he sent to us via message, but also offer to assist us with our transports. His recommendations definitely helped us experience the best of Amorgos in terms of food, drinks and activities. He was kind, polite, understanding, knowledgeable and very professional. - If you do choose to include breakfast in your booking, be prepared for a three course breakfast made with local ingredients, some of them from their own garden. A very unique experience from the hands of our lovely host! 100/10

Honestly, nothing we didn’t enjoy with our stay there!

one of the best stay I’ve ever experienced! Dimitrios and his wife Ivonne have made our stay in Amorgos a unique experience. The room in itself is very modern (recently renovated), clean, very comfy and the terrace is huge with a beautiful view over Aegiali! I can only recommend this place and can’t wait to go back for a stay there! Dimitrios also offered us homemade fresh breakfast which was delicious, not to mention all the small attentions in the room (homemade cookies, local raki…)

We had the most idyllic stay here,the view from the balcony on arrival in the evening is just beautiful. The room was perfect and had a beautiful bathroom too,. The view in the morning when you opened the shutters was breathtaking. Our hosts can only be described as exceptional, Ioanna collected us from the port and on the short trip to the house shared lots of useful information. We had the pleasure of meeting Sofia having ordered breakfast for the morning of our departure. I have never enjoyed such an experience as course upon course was served, all of which was homemade and served with such kindness, the pancakes were simply amazing as was everything. Sofia is one in a million Dimitri, treasure her & please tell her that we adored her cake which she wrapped up for us to take on our travels and we're enjoying her peach jam as we speak from Ios.

Our AC unit wasn't as cold as expected (during a heat wave) but management responded to our concern immediately and had the problem fixed promptly! They were great!

During our family trip to the Greek islands, we had the pleasure of visiting the stunning Amorgos for the first time. Our stay at Theorieon was nothing short of extraordinary. Perched on the mountainside, the hotel offered a spectacular view of the mountains and the Aegean Sea that was simply mesmerizing. It was just a 15-minute walk from the beach, making it even more convenient. The rooms were of good standard, and we particularly loved the charming terrace outside. Our host was truly exceptional, providing excellent service and being incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The optional breakfast was a real treat, and we indulged in it several times. It was a fantastic spread with a touch of craftsmanship - using ingredients sourced from their garden and local farmers, everything was fresh and delicious. We truly hope to visit again someday, to relish more of the island's beauty and spend time with the wonderful hosts. Many thanks for an unforgettable experience!

Incredible views, great location to discover and explore all of Aegli Bay including Tholaria, Lagada, Patamoa, and the various beaches. Incredibly attentive and generous hosts who work hard to ensure you have the best experience.

I liked every thing about Theoreion and highly recommend it.

The view of the sea & village, the patio, the awesome breakfast and the variety of beaches we had access to. Knowledge of the area and recommendations from our host were great so we ate at some delicious and unique restaurants and swam at beautiful beaches. Hiking trails and paths were nearby so we didn’t have to drive every time every time we wanted to leave the property.

The accomodations were excellent; spotless, modern bathroom, lovely tolietries, cozy bed (and blanket upon request), balcony with a breathtaking view. Breakfast was perhaps the finest we've ever enjoyed when traveling. Dimitrios and Ivonne provided excellent guidance and tips for hiking, swimming, adventuring and dining, as well as thoughtful cultural insights. From start to finish, we enjoyed every moment at Theoreion; we felt welcomed. We thank our hosts for an extraordinary experience, and only wish we'd been able to stay longer.

Everything was perfect

Firstly, I would like to point out that Amorgos is the land of hardworking, passionate, dedicated and friendly folk. I am amazed of the warmth of the people that we have met here. The food is beyond any expectation any critic could possibly have. They do everything to the perfection and they do it since the beginning of times. To talk about the Theoreion… I can only say that Ivonne and Dimitrios were just filling our hearts with their kindness, hospitality and empathy. It is as if our comfort and our thirst of experiencing the island was their only purpose. We felt like a part of their family and I really hope our paths cross in the future. The rooms were exquisitely clean every single day of our stay, Dimitrios provided us with the world class coffee that Starbucks couldn’t compete with and Ivonne tickled our tastebuds with snacks that melted in our mouths. And the view from the terrace is worth a thousand words! Our daughter got the most attention and the first thing in the morning on her wishlist was to go downstairs to Ivonne. This is a place that everyone should visit and experience what very few, if no places in the world can provide. I wish Ivonne and Dimitrios the best of luck in the future at reshaping the term “philoxenia” and showing everyone how it should be done.

Everything. There is nothing to complain about. Dimitrios and Ivonne are the best hosts you can get. We have been working in the tourism industry for a three decades. Never ever have we experienced such a warm welcome. The breakfast is a story for itself. Never had a better one. Incredible. We'll be back.
