Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe only downside I see was the fact that you had to throw the toilet paper in a bin, you weren’t allowed to flush it. The furniture’s not new, but I wouldn’t expect it to be for that price.
Good value for money. Basic, but enough. There was also a minifridge in the room which was not mentioned in the description, so that was a bonus. The guy at the reception desk was very friendly.

RomaniaHotel Theo is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in the heart of traditional Greece. Located in Panagia, a charming old village full of character, the hotel is surrounded by many shops, local pastries, restaurants, and bakeries — everything you need is just a short stroll away. The village itself is truly picturesque, with beautiful vistas and authentic Greek charm that make every walk memorable. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with fresh towels changed every two days and impeccably white sheets that added a touch of comfort and care. For its price, the quality and attention to cleanliness were excellent. Overall, Hotel Theo combines affordability, cleanliness, and a perfect location in one of the most beautiful traditional villages of Thasos. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic and relaxing Greek island experience without breaking the budget.

RomaniaHowever, there were a few downsides worth mentioning. During my 5-day stay, room cleaning was skipped on the 4th day without any notice, which was unexpected. The bathroom is quite small, and the shower curtain sticks to you while using it, which made it uncomfortable. Also, while the toilet seat was clean, it was quite worn and should probably be replaced. Finally, I can confirm what other reviews mentioned — the bed is unfortunately uncomfortable and could use an upgrade.
I had a great stay overall. I really appreciated the hotel’s location, the free parking, and especially the politeness of the hotel manager — very professional and welcoming.

SpainWe had an amazing time in Hotel Theo ! The apartment was spacious, the air conditioning was working just fine, the bed sheets and the towels were impeccable and the terrace was enormous with amazing views to the beautiful church of Panagia. The owner was very kind, helpful and willing to answer every question we had(where to eat, what to visit etc),a warm and opened person who made us feel the kindness of greek people. BulgariaContrary to some others negative comments I would say we are completely satisfied with our stay.
The hotel location is in the heart of Panagia, there are many restaurants ( tavernas) around. Housekeeping lady was cleaning and attending our room daily. Athanasius, hotel manager is very helpful and approaching person. Considering that Panagia is old village with nice stone roofing houses hotel Theo is part of it's charm. We didn't miss any of amenities in modern hotels

United KingdomA warning should given to guests not to use the road from the town to Marble beach unless you are driving a 4 x 4. Use the lower road, the beach is worth the effort.
Good location in the center of the town. Private parking. 15 minute drive to various beaches

RomaniaThere was nothing. Everything was perfect!
The hotel is in the center of Panagia, more shops are very close. We liked the big apartment with the big terace, beautyfull wiew. The kitchen is well equiped, big frige, good functioning oven. There is a free parking place on the other side of the road, is enough place for 6-7 cars. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day. Very nice manager, he helped us every time we asked him. The bathroom is not big, but it was enough for us, even with 3 children 🙂. Was very nice walking in the evening thru the town. More beautifull beaches are close, but you can go there only with the car. We went every day to different beaches, the kids loved all of them. Marble beach and Wathi beach are superb, we went there in the late afternoon, we did not have to pay for the sunbeds and there were not to much people. We suggest, if you want to by food, go to Lidl in Thasos town not to the supermarkets, the prices are much better, but fruits you better by from the local markets, this are more delicios. This was our 3. time in Thasos, but it was the best. We loved the retro feeling of the hotel, the village is super nice. We would come back in the same place. We thank you for everything Mr.Theo!! ❤️☺️
